Bonds hasn't played baseball in a year... It might take him a while to get back in the swing of things. Plus, he's 45. Plus, this puts a lot of national attention (pressure) on the White Sox. Not sure if you really want that. As good as this looks on paper, there are numerous other problems with it that will screw it up. Plus, I'm sure chemistry wouldn't even exist in the clubhouse with Barry the douchebag around and the team not winning. How will Ozzie deal with him?

Andruw Jones had a .323 OBP last year with a SLG near .500, OPS of .783 and a wOBA of .338. He still has good plate discipline. Pretty good offensive numbers. His UZR in limited time at the corners was a 3.0. He contributed 0.8 wins last year for the Rangers. Pretty good piece for the bench.
