Tim Anderson out 4-6 weeks with torn ligament in his hand
This was also broken by the Cubs beat writer. What the fuck are our beat writers doing?

Tim Anderson out 4-6 weeks with torn ligament in his hand
I think there's 8 cause the season goes into October. But yeah, TA won't be able to do a minor league rehab on his way back. We'll probably still be in the race by then just because we have 6 games left with the Twins in the last 9.

Get ready for lots of Leury Garcia. Sosa is probably here to stay cause of the injury, but I doubt he gets a lot of PT. On the bright side, Pollock will get to hit leadoff a lot and we'll get to see if he's actually good there over a sustained period of time.

8/7 GT: Sox @ Rangers - Giolito vs. Howard (135pmCT)
Mostly cause they play the Tigers and Royals 7 times this next week. After next week, the Sox only have 10 games left against those 2 teams.

8/7 GT: Sox @ Rangers - Giolito vs. Howard (135pmCT)
That's the thing with this team. Last year's team did just ok against good teams but they cleaned up against the bad ones. The Sox went 6-1 against the Rangers last year. They went 7-0 against the Orioles. Those 2 teams are both better this year, but I'm not sure they're good enough to go 7-4 against us this year so far.

8/7 GT: Sox @ Rangers - Giolito vs. Howard (135pmCT)
We're running out of easy opponents. We really need to go at least 5-2 in the next week if we want a shot at the division.

Nice recovery from the offense today. If only they could have hit like that in the first 2 games.

I remember when Ruiz used to throw 98-99. He's now throwing 95.

Baldelli is livid and I'd actually agree with him. Can't complain though.

8/7 GT: Sox @ Rangers - Giolito vs. Howard (135pmCT)
Wow they called Merrifield safe cause Sanchez blocked the plate.
-
8/7 GT: Sox @ Rangers - Giolito vs. Howard (135pmCT)
I don't think they're gonna reverse this. Sanchez did block the plate but he already had the ball.

Is Hahn gonna trade for Lowe in the off-season now? Nomar Mazara 2.0.

8/7 GT: Sox @ Rangers - Giolito vs. Howard (135pmCT)
Let's not forget we've had him learning and playing outfield the last 2 years.

I guess bad Jake Diekman showed up today. Good thing it's a 6 run game still.

8/7 GT: Sox @ Rangers - Giolito vs. Howard (135pmCT)
Seems like they're a slightly better version of the Sox. Very talented, somewhat underachieving, and lots of stupid plays.
