  1. Hosmer will probably get boo'd heavily the next time he's playing.
  2. I'm gonna guess Bell is not getting traded to SD now and the Padres don't include one of the prospects in the deal.
  3. I'm sure there is. Hosmer staying would probably mean Bell isn't in the deal and the Padres take a prospect back. Either way, Hosmer would get killed for this by the fans in San Diego. Maybe to the point where he would have a hard time going out in public. I'm sure the Padres fans already hate the guy.
  4. I can't wait till that weird kid makes a diss rap about Eric Hosmer.
  5. Abrams got traded.
  6. lmao what if Eric Hosmer derails this deal for Preller? I'd laugh my ass off.
  7. Hahn should call up Rizzo and trade for Hosmer. He's right up our alley. 1B who hits lots of grounders.
  8. Padres fleeced if they got rid of the Hosmer contract too. Holy crap.
  9. Pretty much all of them, yeah.
  10. What the fuck?
  11. With who? Campusano seems like the only big prospect they have left.
  12. Caulfield must be salivating at this lineup... 1. 2B Cronenworth 2. SS Tatis 3. RF Soto 4. 3B Machado 5. 1B Bell 6. LF Profar 7. DH Voit 8. C Nola 9. CF Grisham
  13. If we don't address our offense and Minnesota goes out and gets another arm like Rodon, the division is as good as wrapped up.
  14. Must be nice to add 3 all-star level bats at the deadline... I was just saying how San Diego's offense looked bad yesterday, but now they just added Soto, Bell, and Tatis will come off the IL soon.
  15. "We tried, but APPARENTLY, these other teams don't like our farm system".
  16. The Sox aren't cheap, they're just terrible at spending money. Part of the problem is JR's unwillingness to give out huge contracts. They're too risk-averse when it comes to premium players. What they don't understand is that over-spending and setting the market on mid-level players is even more risky than spending big on a few premium free agents. See: Dallas Keuchel and post 2021 Yasmani Grandal.
  17. We already got part 1 of that yesterday with Boob's tweet about Quintana.
  18. Lopez was a starter until late last season. He had a 2.16 ERA as a reliever last year. His stuff ticked up when he moved into the bullpen. Instead of throwing mid 90s he started throwing around 99 and his stuff just plays better.
  19. I'm just surprised the market for him was that low when all we've been hearing about his how many teams are interested in relievers. He's not even a rental.
  20. Looks like they didn't give up a whole lot. The 2 low level pitching prospects could be anything. Povich is a 3rd rounder from last year that's treading water in A+ ball. The Yankees actually gave up a top 10 prospect for Effross and the Twins got a seemingly better reliever for less.
  21. The Orioles must know something the scouting publications don't about the 2 guys in the low minors. Otherwise the headliner to this deal is a guy ranked in the 20s in the Twins system.
  22. Doesn't look like it. Why the hell did the O's take this deal?
  23. I wonder who the prospects are cause that return is light.
