  1. If Kwan and Miller end up being good then their offense should be close to average this year. With their pitching, that could end up giving us a run for our money.
  2. I think a lot of TLR teams probably did this when he was with the Cardinals. It might just be his managing style.
  3. 1 pitch out. I'd be shocked if we score more than 2 with this lineup.
  4. Keuchel's gonna end up fighting someone in the clubhouse this year.
  5. TLR has always been a player's manager. You see why the players always have nice things to say about him for the most part. The problem is that you can't get spanked by 10 in game 1 with 5 errors in 2 innings and give those guys the 2nd game off. That just sends the message that something like that is no big deal when it should be.
  6. TLR: "See that's pretty good!".
  7. Except we didn't win the first game this time.
  8. Punting games all year so we can be rested for October...worked great last year right?
  9. They also have COVID injuries right now.
  10. This lineup was planned before the first game today. TA and Abreu playing like ass bought them some more time off when they should be playing again.
  11. After how bad most of the vets looked game 1, they should be punished to play another. TLR is way too nice to these guys. No wonder they weren't ready to play game 1.
  12. TLR at his finest everyone. Get embarrassed game 1 and throw out the worst lineup imaginable game 2. Bravo.
  13. Hey, it took Leury 20 ABs to get a hit right?
  14. After the plays TA has made after Keuchel left...you definitely get the feeling they were trying to sabotage Keuchel.
  15. After the draft in July
  16. Fortunately for Luis, most of his offensive value isn't put into walks.
  17. Yaz when he sees Severino run in from the bullpen
  18. Robert already has a 120 game sample prior to this season. He was a 5 WAR player who looked amazing for 3 months and was terrible for a month. I think he'll be a streaky hitter in general. Hopefully his struggles recently are just mechanical or the league adjusting to him. He'll always have a chance to adjust back.
  19. AV has 3 balls hit over 100 MPH today.
  20. The projection systems definitely saw Robert as more like Mike Cameron coming into this season. Truth is that Cameron at his peak was a 4-5 WAR player who was massively underrated because of the era he played in. I still think Robert has a much higher ceiling, but a floor of Mike Cameron isn't the end of the world.
  21. I thought it was problematic when I saw him getting blown away by a 94 MPH fastball in that last game against Seattle. That's the kind of stuff he did when he struggled at the end of 2020.
  22. I thought him opening his stance was supposed to help him hit the inside fastball and not go for those low sliders away.
  23. Robert is in a slump. He's been in one since the last game against Seattle.
  24. Seeing everyone trying to pull outside breaking pitches is pretty frustrating. You know he's gonna throw them out there. Stone is right, he's barely pitching righties inside.
