I can't believe I'm saying this, but if Fiers starts tomorrow, we might want to think about DHing or starting Nomar in the OF. Leury's been trash at the plate so far and he's clearly rusty. Nomar actually looked really good today against two very good pitchers.

Same. I'd love for us to advance just to see what happens, but I think we've played admirably so far despite the terrible defense today. It's good experience going forward for a very young team.

Jimmy hasn't looked that good all year. Maybe if Ricky didn't run him out everyday, he might be able to hit 100 more often and be more effective.

Keuchel still gave up a lot of hard contact. He just wasn't good today. BTW, Abreu's ground out left the bat at 97 MPH. It had an xBA of .460. Give the A's credit for good positioning. Between that and Moncada getting robbed at the wall, we just didn't have a lot of luck today.

He should continue with that and start Manaea tomorrow.

Madrigal's baserunning was a big reason why we didn't score in the 3rd.

I thought this game was over in the 7th, but we made them waste their closer and hit him hard. At the very least it's a nice stepping stone for game 3. This loss is on Keuchel and Madrigal.
