I still find it indefensible that we entered the season with Avi Garcia as a starter. Guy had proven to be an all-around bad baseball player and the Sox gambled on his tools once again. If we miss the playoffs by a game or two, Garcia will be the one biggest and easily mitigated reasons why.

Navarro! His hitting is definitely coming around!

How does Shields' velocity look so far? Gameday has shown him in the 92-93 MPH range.

Yes, the White Sox will make the playoffs IF they add an impact bat AND a reliever. If they stand pat like idiots again, they will miss out.

We really should start giving Saladino some time in the OF. He's got a better bat than both Avi & Shuck and would likely be as good of a defender as either of them (and very likely better than Avi). He could be Ben Zobrist lite if used correctly.

If we're serious about competing, the #1 priority should be adding an impact OF. That gets Shuck out of the lineup right away and eventually allows us to get Avi out of the lineup when Jackson and/or Morneau are available. Second on the list has to be a right-handed reliever. Those two moves are musts in order to compete IMO. I'm all for looking for a catcher upgrade, especially if it's a guy with some control, but it's a lesser need at this point. Avila has really turned it around as of late and makes me feel better about situation. I do think Navarro is a problem with his horrible pitch framing, especially if he's not going to hit enough to offset it. Just don't think we can afford to give up much for an upgrade when we have bigger fish to fry.

I just can't see Cersai killing Tommen. Seems way out of character, let alone for the TV version to do it. I do think a lot of characters will burn, including the High Sparrow, Lancel, Kevan, Pycelle, & Septa Unella. Maybe even a Tyrell sibling. I think Tommen will somehow be spared from the wildfire, only to be killed by the Sand Snakes. Feel like that's how he'll go out in the books and there was an episode earlier this season in which Jamie mentioned them to the small council. I don't think the Dorne storyline is 100% complete just yet.
