  1. Just in a compact package!
  2. Fletcher!?!
  3. Benitendi with a leadoff walk. Now is our chance!
  4. I can’t see him lasting that long. I’d say by the end of the 2025 season you have to seriously consider releasing him if this is the player you’re getting (and I don’t mean the .300 OPS version obviously).
  5. I don’t think there is any chance he makes it to 2026. He doesn’t take walks and doesn’t hit for enough power for 1B. I feel like he’s regressing and not showing any real reason to believe he’ll figure it out. I know I’m the only who feels this way, but I’d send him down to AAA and let him work on some s%*# in a pressure free environment. It’s clear that whatever he’s doing with the major league staff isn’t working and bolder actions may be needed if there is any hope of righting the ship.
  6. When will the Andrew Benintendi nightmare end?
  7. When does this Andrew Vaughn nightmare end?
  8. Zavala 2-2 with a HR & single plus one BB & no K’s and the previously mentioned SB. Wish I could see how he’s doing in center.
  9. Excited to get to see Eder finally. Him finding his 2021 form would be massive for us.
  10. Kid is going to be a stud!
  11. You’re right on Wolkow not being ready. I had seem him on some sort of prelim or developmental roster for Kannapolis, so I was surprised when he didn’t actually make the final roster. Obviously that’s a good thing for his development, but the meatball is eager to see him in full season ball. Someone mentioned that Burrowes will eventually be there, which at least gives us one quality positional guy to follow. Is Calvin Harris hurt? I didn’t see him on either A ball roster. But yeah, not much else from the 2023 draft. And there just doesn’t seem to be a ton of LatAm guys who seem ready. It’s a bummer that Erick Hernandez has struggled so much (still very young).
  12. Weird, I work for a Fortune 500 company and we still have a mailroom at our headquarters ?‍♂️
  13. I’m expecting win #2 today. Let’s fucking go!
  14. Again, I’m less concerned about bad veterans being bad. The biggest question I have is what is Getz’s long-term plan for this positional group. I think it’s fair to say the only guy who will be part of the starting lineup of our next competitive team is Robert. IMO, Vaughn gets non-tendered or traded after this season. I don’t know where things went wrong with him (probably skipping all minor league development to fill a major league need), but it doesn’t seem like he will hit enough to be a first division regular. Benintendi is straight up a bad baseball player and I think he gets released or traded for a bad contract after the 2025 season. And the only other guy in the equation would be Fletcher, and right now, he looks much more like a 4th OF than an everyday guy (still very early though). So how the hell do you fill eight holes around Robert? Obviously Montgomery will be the answer at SS (hopefully) or 3B. I think Ramos & Quero will both be major league regulars, although their ceilings are still very much TBD. After them, things begin getting fuzzy fast. Zavala looks legit IMO, but he’s still a few years out best case scenario. Gonzalez is a total wild card at the moment and we need to see if his offseason efforts are real or just normal spring fluff. The group falls off immensely after with some higher ceiling guys in Low A / rookie ball (Wolkow, Burrowes, etc) and some lower ceiling dudes in AA & AAA. I think it becomes pretty apparent that Getz will need to do some serious work in free agency. And that’s the scary part. We no doubt should have plenty of money to spend, it’s just will Jerry allow us to spend in a way that will make a meaningful difference. If we’re locked into the Benintendi tier then we are big time fucked IMO. Got to pray that Jerry finally mans up and takes on a tiny bit of risk with a nine figure contract or two.
  15. Per Bob, the Sox will explore the free agent OF market with Robert likely out “months” and Pham could be an “ideal fit”.
  16. Jerry is not excepting a 110 loss squad. This team is currently on pace to lose 140+ and may never score a run again. Jerry will fire someone, the only question is who will be that patsy. My guess is it will be Grifol, but maybe they sacrifice the hitting coach despite an obvious lack of offensive talent.
  17. I just feel like if you have a halfway decent LatAm operation you should have three toosly, but flawed positional guys ready for a shot at full season ball.
  18. I have no idea why you are shitting on Thorpe of all people
  19. What in the f***
  20. The upside may be insane, but he’s got to pitch more than 40 innings in a season before he passes Montgomery as top prospect.
  21. I’m actually shocked at how bad it is. You’d think most orgs would have plenty of semi interesting prospects pushing for playing time in Low A.
  22. “Benintendi slaps it to left” are words we hear far too often ?
  23. Fletcher has actually scored more runs for opposing teams than the Sox
  24. This Barons’ lineup might be better than the major league roster as well
