  1. No one knows what Keuchel did or didn’t do outside of not snitching out his teammates. I’m not going to hold that against him given the ramifications it could of had against him.
  2. You have no fucking clue what he did and didn’t do yet you have already served as judge, jury, & executioner.
  3. The White Sox should suspend Keuchel because his teammates with another team cheated while he was there? Like seriously man, you are freaking nuts.
  4. Mike Fiers looked the other way while it was happening no? His accusations came out after he left the organization?
  5. Well thank god you’re here to fight the good fight Balta! Definitely wouldn’t want Keuchel to get away with not snitching on his teammates!!
  6. It’s really amazing these changes aren’t getting more attention. Having the pitching coordinator & assistant hitting coordinator being pro-analytics guys is huge. Bumping up Zaleski is huge and sets him up to be a viable option to replace Cooper in a few years. Adding Farquhar to the developmental staff is another huge win. It appears that we are finally starting to modernize our development staff and potentially address our biggest weakness over the past decade or so. How is this thread only at two pages when we gave the dismissal of a softball coach a good dozen? I’ve been a Getz hater for a long time, but dude deserves some credit here for finally convincing the org to be bold and enter the 21st century.
  7. I typically enjoy Ron’s troll posts, but this one is just stupid as fuck. I don’t like Ricky but Hinch is not the answer and the Sox would never sign him anyways.
  8. How would Hinch not be aware of what was going on? Also, I thought there was email proof of a front office exec orchestrating part of this?
  9. Teaford too. These changes are actually pretty awesome and suggest we are pushing for a more modern development staff.
  10. This all may be true, but Theo has a budget that he can’t deviate from and he’s already capped out. And honestly, fuck the Cubs so who cares if their owner pockets some profits.
  11. Chiefs getting destroyed. Glad I took the Texans +10.
  12. This is the right answer. I played a fuckton of All Star baseball on the Switch.
  13. Lol...haven’t shown their hand yet? It’s abundantly clear they can not add to their roster without clearing payroll first.
  14. I would wager large sums of money that Jimenez is a top 10 LF next year.
  15. I never have a fucking clue what you’re talking about.
  16. How are the Cubs getting Arenado if that’s their lineup?
  17. The Cubs traded Torres for Chapman and almost didn’t win a championship. There wasn’t some guarantee they would get a ring by making that trade. They took a risk and in that particular case it worked out. That doesn’t always happen though and most teams are trying to create extended windows that give them as many playoff appearances as possible because there is simply a ton of luck in the postseason. That has nothing to do with the valuation techniques you’re quoting but rather logic and risk tolerance. Also, you rip the Dodgers, but didn’t they trade a top 100 prospect for a Machado rental? I don’t blame them for not wanting to trade their blue chippers though. With a $200M+ payroll and a consistent supply of high-end prospects they can legitimately create sustainable success.
  18. What? Those are simply valuation techniques. I’m 100% missing how those have anything to do with front offices being conservative.
