Please point out one post where I called him a bust? Oh that’s right, no such post exists and you’re just some arrogant douchebag who makes shit up to feel better about themselves. And somehow you have the nerve to call me a troll...lol. What a fucking tool.

Awesome to see Eloy coming around power wise. It was just a matter of time with him. Moncada with no K’s tonight is also very nice to see. I’d say even Giolito showed some promising signs. He’s got to figure out his first inning BS but his definitely looks way better than last year. While I wish he could work with a different pitching coach, there still may be some hope for him.

Lol...where was I moaning? I just called you out for making a dumb statement about the farm system. But I guess if anyone disagrees with the almighty AustinIllini they must be a troll.
-
And Madrigal, Adolfo, Rutherford, Gonzalez, Sheets, Rivera, Bush, & Curbelo have gotten off to terrible starts. Furthermore, Kopech & Dunning are recovering from TJS and Basabe, Burger, Burdi, and Tyler Johnson are all out with injuries. I’m not suggesting the rebuild is doomed, but AustinIllini is a complete buffoon is he honestly thinks the minors have been great this year. We’re gonna need much more than Robert & Cease to come out of our minor league system for this thing to work and I’m not sure I have confidence in anyone else at the moment. It’s very early and a lot can change, but the AA guys stumbling out of the gate should be very concerning for even the most optimistic posters here.

Is this really the best you got? Playing the troll card?
-
I haven’t once expressed concern about Eloy this season. But I’m also a realist and not going to pretend everything is rainbows & unicorns right now. I know you get off telling everyone how stupid they are, but your optimism isn’t based on anything objective. Three or four players isn’t enough for a successful rebuild.
-
You clearly haven’t been following the minors this season bro.
-
Yup, a couple Eloy bombs and the rebuild is back on track...lol.
-
Dude, give it a rest. Giolito has been arguablely the worst starting pitcher in baseball the past 13 months. That falls squarely on Lucas and you come off as some delusional lover when you make these comments.
-
2019 Rodon has a sub 2 FIP. While that’s a mirage, at worst he’s a back end starter.
-
You’re nuts bro.
-
Definitely should have.
-
Good fucking god...three fucking walks without a single out in the second. Fire Cooper ASAP and see if someone else can get through to these young arms.
-
This god damn nibbling.
-
Did I just see Giolito listed amongst guys like Johnson & Maddux?
-
I’d wager our pitching staff is top 3 in walked allowed and that our offense is bottom 3 for walks drawn.
-
100% agree. Way to let our young guys actually work through their growing pains. Even more frustrating with the upcoming rule changes that will greatly reduce the value of LOOGY’s. Really need to know if Frare can be more than a left-handed specialist and now is the time to find out.

Great post and better summarize what I was trying to say. Theo takes risks in free agency to push his teams over the top. He knows competitive windows can be short-lived and once you have a strong core in place adding a few incremental wins becomes far more valuable than efficient spending. You have to be aggressive in those moments and that will sometimes bite you in the ass, but hoarding money doesn’t help you win a championship. Hahn on the other hand passed on adding a future HoF (to a very fair contact) during what should be our competitive window because of potential repercussions nine & 10 years down the road. Instead, he’ll be forced to sign second rate free agents which has been a huge area of weakness for the organization and are unlikely to provide the impact we’ll actually need to build a competitive roster. Give me the guy who is willing to go big and take advantage of his window any day of the week over the guy who is afraid on taking on any real risk.

I don’t necessarily disagree, but if the kid is K’ing 25% against bad pitching he’s going to fall on his face in AA. Those bad pitches he’s crushing right now will be there far less frequently. That may force him to adjust, but there’s zero reason he can’t make some efforts now to improve the K issue. I’d just like to see some moderate gains before I send him to an environment that will no doubt be very challenging.
-
He may not draw a ton of walks, but he’s striking out 25% of the time right now. There is zero reason that can’t approve in High A.
