Nothing doing just yet, Nightengale is just stumping for the Sox. There's a lot of options out there.

Mazara / Profar / Tate / Ortiz is the best package out of those, but I don't see that being enough for Hahn.

There seems to be some desire from the Sox to sell high on BGJ, which is good. I would be disappointed if only Shields and Robertson were traded, but that does seem pretty likely.

If the Sox are serious about moving him, they'll listen on reasonable packages. If not, you'll keep hearing "starts with Betts/Bogaerts" through the weekend. I don't think he is going anywhere though.

I would like Hahn and KW conducting a fire sale because right now is the best time to do so. The trade market favors sellers, with a weak FA class, and the Sox have a weak farm to trade from. They would struggle to add even mediocre regulars, which would very likely lead to a repeat of this season's disappointment in 2017. There is another option - fire Hahn and KW, let Robin's contract expire, bring in a new GM, and have the fire sale this offseason. But we all know that no one is losing their job anytime soon. So, unless they add substantial payroll, I'd like to see a fire sale run by the people we've got.

In this market, the Sox can't afford to buy. If they trade Q and use the prospects to buy 1-2 year guys, god, the stupidity. More likely he is just posturing.

I do agree with greg that Robin should not manage another game, sell or no.
