Was Jennings over Zach Phillips a mistake?
Short answer no, long answer no with the caveat that bullpen guys can sometimes just get good. But in terms of talent and stuff, no.
I agree with this for the most part, but I think they keep Ishikawa, Sands is claimed off waivers, Turner passes thru waivers, and EJ, Kahnle and Carlos Sanchez see significant time in Chicago this year.

Will there be a moment of silence for the LaRoche family prior to the game? Will Sale/Eaton be wearing a DL patch this year?
I thought about the patch thing. It would be an appropriate toothpick in this s*** sandwich

Well, by my count, that's a 6-man bench (counting just one of Sands/Avi), and that would leave us with a 5 man 'pen...
Also one of Shuck / Fields / May, so 4.

I still think we take two backup OFs to start the season. I think having a guy who can platoon with LaRoche (Avi or Sands) is far more important than having a second backup IF like Sanchez.
I would agree with this. More bench pieces could be added, but right now i'd go with
3B/SS/2B - Saladino
LF/RF/1B - Sands / Avi (prefer Sands)
CF/LF/RF - Shuck / Fields / May
C - Avila
