  1. Well, 4 games in and it looks a lot like 2015, but with better pitching.
  2. Really like this kid, glad he is on board. can he play rf?
  3. We may end up leading the league in audible f-bombs
  4. Strange after what seems forever, there still isn't an adequate batter for the second spot.
  5. If you had Francisco Liriano with the first RBI of the season... You're lying.
  6. Revising an earlier prediction based on the Pollock injury: AL East - Blue Jays / Yankees / Red Sox / Orioles / Rays AL Central - Cleveland / White Sox / Royals / Tigers / Twins AL West - Rangers / Astros / Angels / Athletics / Mariners NL East - Nats / Mets / Marlins / Braves / Phils NL Central - Pirates / Cubs / Cardinals / Brewers / Reds NL West - Dodgers / Giants / Dbacks / Rockies / Padres AL WC - Astros over W. Sox NL WC - Cubs over Mets ALDS - Astros over Cleveland, Rangers over BJays NLDS - Pirates over Nats, Dodgers over Cubs ALCS - Astros over Rangers NLCS - Dodgers over Pirates WS - Astros over Dodgers
  7. That would make sense if Shuck didn't historically have reverse splits.
  8. Until he bombs in the regular season I will give Latos the benefit of the doubt.
  9. Guys I think Ishikawa just made the team.
  10. QUOTE (Jose Paniagua @ Mar 23, 2016 -> 08:05 AM) Was Jennings over Zach Phillips a mistake? Short answer no, long answer no with the caveat that bullpen guys can sometimes just get good. But in terms of talent and stuff, no.
  11. I agree with this for the most part, but I think they keep Ishikawa, Sands is claimed off waivers, Turner passes thru waivers, and EJ, Kahnle and Carlos Sanchez see significant time in Chicago this year.
  12. QUOTE (fathom @ Mar 19, 2016 -> 10:32 AM) Will there be a moment of silence for the LaRoche family prior to the game? Will Sale/Eaton be wearing a DL patch this year? I thought about the patch thing. It would be an appropriate toothpick in this s*** sandwich
  13. 0% now, but if the team tanks, i'm sure they'll listen over the offseason.
  14. 1. Media 2. Kenny 3. LaRoche 4. Sale 5. Other players I wouldn't assign blame to any others given the current facts.
  15. I think KW is more likely to exit if this doesn't blow over and the team stinks. He already has the heat on him.
  16. Robin probably had the green light from the FO to let Drake have that access. It's not like the manager doesn't have bosses as well.
  17. Weird spring. They're either destroying or being destroyed. I guess its to be expected when the soft parts of the rotation / bullpen are going.
  18. Given Beck's injury he is definitely behind all those guys.
  19. Melky still hitting everything straight up. Hopefully that works itself out before April.
  20. Unless they ditch Avi in the deal, I don't see a way that fits.
  21. QUOTE (Jose Abreu @ Mar 6, 2016 -> 09:38 PM) Well, by my count, that's a 6-man bench (counting just one of Sands/Avi), and that would leave us with a 5 man 'pen... Also one of Shuck / Fields / May, so 4.
  22. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Mar 6, 2016 -> 08:36 PM) I still think we take two backup OFs to start the season. I think having a guy who can platoon with LaRoche (Avi or Sands) is far more important than having a second backup IF like Sanchez. I would agree with this. More bench pieces could be added, but right now i'd go with 3B/SS/2B - Saladino LF/RF/1B - Sands / Avi (prefer Sands) CF/LF/RF - Shuck / Fields / May C - Avila
  23. OD lineup (fantasy version) assuming Sonny Gray pitching: 1. Eaton RF 2. Cabrera LF 3. Abreu 1B 4. Frazier 3B 5. LaRoche DH 6. Lawrie 2B 7. Jackson CF 8. Navarro C 9. Rollins SS Thats pretty, pretty, pretty... pretty good.
