  1. Sometimes you look at a team and think man, they must really want to lose to play that badly.
  2. Probably going to want some of those RISP back after Frankie walks his second run in.
  3. Pretty bad is sort of an understatement. Quintana ran out of juice/luck. He might need another 9 days.
  4. Well I mean if he needs TJ then yes. Lets hope it doesn't come to that. I would still pick up his option if he is healthy.
  5. I would say I don't want to lose Gavin but he has been lousy and/or hurt for quite a while now. Maybe a Santiago/Axelrod tandem can work for this team down the stretch.
  6. LD rate has been around 20% the last two seasons, but of course he has that absurdly high IFB rate. His BABIP is definitely on the low end.
  7. They both suck but the difference is one has options and the other does not. They need BP help more than they need a 5th OF. Jordan will be back in 20 days. Why is this an issue?
  8. He'll be back in 3 weeks anyways, and the pen definitely needs some help.
  9. Pure Ace. Man it feels good to have a guy that is "the guy".
  10. cuz of all the uncertainty of guys like rios, dunn, youk, etc.
  11. Same thing as Byrdak? http://www.amazinavenue.com/2012/8/6/32244...y?ref=fangraphs They make it sound more serious.
  12. P sure most teams aren't that high on Gavin, which is why he didn't get moved this deadline. Q, even as a 4/5, has more value and can get a bigger bat. Unless they trade Gavin for pieces of a larger package, which is a possibility.
  13. The Danks news makes this prognostication less gloomy. It also makes it seem more likely that KW will sell high on Quitana, maybe to get a bat.
  14. Its more worrisome that the Royals are starting to jettison non-productive elements and replace them with minor leaguers. I would assume they bring up Myers soon. We have 12 games left against them.
  15. Actually forget that, rub it in. The Indians MiLB system is almost as bad as the Sox.
  16. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 07:25 PM) And with our luck they'll bring up half their farm and go on a mini roll right when we're about to face them. not to rub it in, but what farm?
  17. Thank goodness for our savior : The Angels 'pen! oh and that AJ guy
  18. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 5, 2012 -> 11:46 AM) Zero reason to think Castro is bullpen fodder IMO. You mean beyond the fact that even when healthy he has been hammered by AAA teams, repeatedly? Also he is going to be 25 next year and has had two down years in a row?
  19. Sale/Quintana/Leeryanno/Floyd/Righty FA Castro is likely bullpen fodder at this point but maybe Molina can turn it around. I believe KW when he says he has the highest ceiling in our system.
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Aug 4, 2012 -> 06:17 PM) I would love to know just how healthy Humber, Sale and Floyd are Humber is probably healthy, as he has an established history of suckage. The other two, yeah. Gavin has no control and Sale is down like 5mph. Not to mention Quintana.
  21. so like, he's still hurt right? He is just alllll over the place.
