Pale Hose vs. The Tribe 5/1/2012
Does he look better? Part of me is stoked and part of me remembers Ubaldo is really awful now.

Maybe time to find a new spot in the lineup for alexei

AAP: Yolmer (Carlos) Sanchez
After a hot start, Sanchez missed a couple days in the lineup and has struggled a bit. Still, he has a .289/.379/.368 line through April.

4/30 Games
Is this how it works? Kanny already played, rolling to a 7-0 victory. Solid, if unspectacular turn from Snodgress, and 2.1 more innings of wildly effective wildness from Jefferson Olacio. http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?s...kanafx_romafx_1 B'Ham off Charlotte at 6:00ET, Purple Phallus at 7:05ET

Tyler "Crazy Eyez Killa" Saladino rapidly turning into one of my favorite 'spects. He can stick at short and he draws a walk better than Morel ever could. Also:

QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Apr 28, 2012 -> 07:39 PM) The bottom of the order in the bottom of the 9th...I should've gone to Harper's debut tonight. I blew it. I mean, you should have done this regardless

QUOTE (K-Rock @ Apr 27, 2012 -> 08:27 PM) Based on Beckham at bat, that's an infield pop out. shut it down folks shut down the white sox

Game Thread 4/27: Sawks @ Sox, 7:10pm, The U
Watching Beckhams AB on game day, saw in play, outs. Thought to myself, based on pitch position and count, thats an infield pop out. Way too predictable.

That walk from Ravelo actually makes me happier than another hit.

White Sox @ Oakland 4.25 game thread 2:35pm
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 25, 2012 -> 06:59 PM) NOPE. We're not in "win now" mode. Rebuilding year. He's not going to be a part of any future with the Sox...why bother? Bingo! Robin wanted to see what he had in Santiago, and now he knows, and hopefully will find out what he has in Reed. Early part of the season is always like this, especially with new faces around.

Its more that right now neither is any kind of solution. Hell, bring up Castro.

4/18/12 Game Thread - O's @ White Sox
Escobar can't hit for crap and his defense is probably not an upgrade from Beckham. The only advantage he provides is switch hitting and it doesn't help much from the #9 hitter.

QUOTE (flavum @ Apr 18, 2012 -> 08:44 PM) Tommorow's lineup, please: De Aza, Lillibridge, Dunn, Konerko, Rios, Ramirez, Viciedo, Flowers, Escobar Pierzynski should DH for Dunn.

QUOTE (iamshack @ Apr 18, 2012 -> 08:42 PM) I can't remember a Sox player I disliked more... Jerry Owens? Randy Williams? There have been plenty i've liked less. That being said, I think its only a matter of time before he is gone.

GT: 4/16/12 Orioles @ Sox 7:10, The U
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Apr 16, 2012 -> 09:35 PM) Esco? Really? Sounds like Tesco or Costco. First, tlb, Tanks, this nickname thing is now officially getting out of hand. I dunno, fairly standard shorthand for a person whose last name is Escobar. He can earn a nickname.

GT: 4/16/12 Orioles @ Sox 7:10, The U
yeah, send him down. he is an absolute mess and just needs some re-centering time. esco and bridge can split his at bats

GT: 4/16/12 Orioles @ Sox 7:10, The U
Its kind of depressing how time after time this team has no one to rely on but Konerko. Not to be a debbie downer or anything. go sox

AAP: Yolmer (Carlos) Sanchez
http://www.baseball-reference.com/minors/p...id=sanche008car Not much info out there on this young fella... yet. He seems to have a very advanced understanding of the strike zone, which in this system means he should move fast.

Mitchell's stats are sort of crazy. SSS I know but still, 33% K rate, 33% walk rate, something like 10/12 on balls in play. I'm glad he is having some kind of success but that babip is going to come down and he better be ready to make more contact.

2012 Minor League Catch All thread
QUOTE (danman31 @ Apr 15, 2012 -> 11:10 AM) Why did they bail on him? Seems rash. He isn't that good and the Red Sox have plenty of better 5th starter guys (Aaron Cook, etc) Some team like the Astros or Twins that need lots of pitching help should get him.
