2020 Election Thoughts
For sure. One area I’d be excited though is giving him 4 more years to really hammer China. I think more of the world will have to fall in line regarding China if he gets another term. This is probably the best thing for the world on a macro level. A Biden win is probably a forever pass for China.

Greg, that’s just what nice, loving people say these days

Offseason Targets
Is the QO gonna be 17 million? If so we could just offer him that and destroy his market to have him for another year
-
Offseason Targets
I agree with this. Is $8-10 realistic? All it takes is one team pissed they missed out on Realmuto.

Mazara and Right Field Thread
I always love when someone tells a person that batting average is an antiquated way of measuring a hitter. like, cmon man, that horse doesn’t need any more beating. 2006 called and said “great point!”

Is Ozzie a candidate for manager now? No rumor
I actually liked the way he managed. Really hated his kids though

Trevor Bauer Thread (Mazara Free Zone)
This is correct.

Mike Trout didn’t struggle

What would you have done ...
If nothing else you have to see it as him having pretty much no control over his clubhouse. That’s the best outcome- him not being in charge. Worst outcome? Cheater. I’d almost prefer a reformed cheater to a spineless leader. Admittedly, I haven’t read too much on the scandal but it seems like it’s one or the other, no?

Tony La Russa
This is my gripe too. If you are in charge and you can’t stop your players from cheating...are you in charge?
-
Tony La Russa named Manager
Is it accurate to say that AJ Hinch was not able to tell his players and coaches to stop cheating?

Offseason Targets
How hard does Stroman throw?
-
AJ Hinch: does it matter to you that he cheated?
This is totally possible.

Tony La Russa named Manager
Based on Stone’s quote, I think there’s been a deal in place for a while now with somebody. Wonder who that is.

COVID-19/Coronavirus thread
Well most people who get infected probably don’t get that sick or even know they carry the virus. That could be what happened. Or it’s a complete con job ego-driven farce from Trump. Both are actually equally likely

AJ Hinch: does it matter to you that he cheated?
I do t think anybody here knows a damn thing about Hinch, how his players played for him, how his in-game managing is, how he uses a bullpen etc. Nobody here knows a thing about it. They just know he sucked in AZ and then had some really good teams in Houston and won a World Series. And we also know they cheated. The rest is speculation, wishful thinking, an anybody-but-RR bias, and hope mixed into a stew.

Sox Press Conference - 11am 10/12 - RR out as Sox manager
How is Sandy Alomar an upgrade? Like how do we know that? A few of you have already said that. Why?

Pandemic Cooking
This- I don’t think there’s any way to make a breast taste as good as a thigh. Ever check out Herman Lyons’ method on the Weber kettle? I do this every time. Absolute perfect indirect method. I almost feel guilty or unworthy making such damn good chicken ?

Stone's Throwing of Shade at Ricky
Buxton took like 8 years or whatever to finally be good and I still don’t believe it.

Will the Front Office Fire Renteria?
I don’t get how people fail to see this. Good post

Offseason Targets
Oh man! Don’t tell TA7 of my blasphemy I forgot!

Offseason Targets
His ABs in the playoffs were the best on the team. Crazy.

Crochet's arm fine
Stop. The highly paid baseball people who employ the highly paid medical people are doing exactly everything the way they see fit with every player on the team. Assuming anything different is completely insane.

The effectiveness of Don Cooper
Any fan with an opinion on Cooper should have zero ears listening to that opinion. It means jack shit. Only the front office, coaching staff and players know anything. If he’s still here it’s because the whole of the front office believes in whatever he is saying/teaching. If they didn’t, he would be gone. I had an 80+ yr old hand surgeon reconnect tendons I cut through on a few different occasions. I didn’t even go to the ER the second time and just went to his office. He was perfect and the best doctor I’ve ever had to this day. Hand surgery didn’t “pass him by” in his 60s. I know this is anecdotal but that’s all the news is nowadays. Anecdotal= rampantly applicable/happening everywhere.
