I think the elderly are going to be smart and hunker down for a while. In the US it’s not as customary for generations to live under the same house, so generally the elderly are isolated pretty well to their communities. I think with how spread out our country is, if the elderly wait it out pretty smartly for a few months or whatever, you’ll probably see the lowest death rates in the US. With all the food and resource delivery we have, I think we’ll be all right.

Well said. I was just thinking about something. It seems backwards, but maybe our for-profit health system is our best defense as a herd. If it was the other way you’d have every sniffle at the hospital mixing with the actual virus carriers. Feel bad for James. It was probably last year‘s best story. What a huge success turning that cast-off into one of the top catchers in the game (depending how you see the breakout). Everything about him was awesome and he earned being our starting catcher for the next 5 years. I feel really bad for him.

It’s almost over. The most interesting thing to me is that 30 MLB franchises pay teams and teams of people to analyze stats all day long. They look at stats from directions and contexts we as fans could ONLY HOPE to understand one day. And yet, nobody has signed him. And yet, fans, the people with less than 1% of the knowledge front offices have, think Puig is a good idea because of stats. As if the front offices don’t have access to dumb shit like fangraphs, stat cast blah blah you name it. Somehow the 30 professional baseball teams are the ones making a mistake...because of internet stats. blows my mind.
