Exactly. There’s no other way to look at it. This isn’t the trade deadline where we are in contention for a World Series and desperate for a missing piece or two. People think there is some prestige involved in being an MLB insider. There isn’t. There’s no such thing as scooping an MLB FA signing. None of it matters until a team announces something, which usually happens 9 seconds after these legendary scoops.

I dunno guys. I think the rebuild is an A+ so far. I think the Sox have way more talent in the minors than most realize. While the top is indeed super heavy, I don’t think the system is top heavy if that makes sense. If Burger, Hansen, Burdi, Adolfo, Kopech & Rutherford etc. all suck this year then I may join the critics, but I just have a feeling that the farm depth is going to come roaring back this year. If that happens watch out because most of the ML roster is already filled.

This seems like sanity. I think people forget that Giolito & Kopech are most likely aces and Cease looks like a plus 2. That’s insane and cost-controlled for 6 years. What we need is competent innings when those guys aren’t pitching or reach their limits. Not having 3/5 of the rotation as total gas cans is going to make such a difference this year. We’d have to forfeit games to not be .500 this year.

Everybody has to hit RHP well. You really can’t play in the league if you can’t hit RHP. You don’t have to be left handed. and I don’t think it matters at all anymore to have a left handed started in the rotation.

While Hawk is right that the first rule is catch the baseball, the real game is still “hit the shit out of the baseball”
