  1. I like it. I hope Hahn can be more hands on. KW is a good GM IMO, but maybe a new set of eyes can do wonders. Isn't Hahn a sabr guy? That's only a plus to me.
  2. When I first got into the Sox when I was younger and had problems at home growing up, I loved Hawks because It was like there was a grandpa I could watch the games with who actually liked the Sox. (Grew up, and still live in, Tiger and Indians land) But now that I'm older, I wish Hawk would retire. Its fine to act like that on CSN, or WCIU, but I wish he would tone it down on WGN nationally.
  3. Would love to bring him back a reasonable price. Danks as a full time starter (not including this year due to injury) has an ERA+ of 115 Floyd is 107 since becoming a full time starter. Hope that Sale and Q are for real. L Sale R Peavy L Danks R Floyd L Quintana That's something I think most of us would love to have.
  4. Over at another board they've starting saying Kahn. That is the best that I've seen.
  5. QUOTE (DukeNukeEm @ Sep 20, 2012 -> 06:25 PM) These are all very bad. .
  6. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Sep 14, 2012 -> 03:44 AM) I'm interested what both team records is since let's say All-Star Break... Sox: 29-28 Det: 31-25
  7. QUOTE (kitekrazy @ Sep 11, 2012 -> 12:13 AM) motownsports is like a mirror image of Soxtalk and WSI. Many of them have a good sense of humor. They're good people for the most part, but they're a bit full of themselves too. "Best fans in baseball"....since 2006.... Sox fans chanting "Deeeetroit" is just awful, but calling Sox fans trailer trash and Sux fans isn't on the same field? But, its whatevz.
  8. Wise has been very good since coming up, but that said, I would take the guy who is leading the league in walks, 38 home runs and has a wRC+ of 120.
  9. WHIP is too high. Hopefully he'll get that fixed as he matures over the upcoming seasons. I can't wait until we only have X amount of games left, then we can use Myers as the closer so we don't pick up his option. And I really hope Ventura uses Myers as the closer in the playoffs, if the Sox make it.
  10. Magic number is the combination of games the Sox have to win, plus the number of games the Tigers have to lose for the Sox to win the division, right?
  11. Do the Sox wear green pinstripes on HWTSPD?
  12. QUOTE (whitesox901 @ Sep 6, 2012 -> 01:18 AM) I don't buy it. If it were true it would have been broken by a major media outlet by now. lol this guy.

  14. QUOTE (daa84 @ Aug 9, 2012 -> 08:55 PM) cubs. To those who say tigers , if it was Detroit vs cubs in the world series, you would really root for the cubs?? Yea? I also don't live in Chicago, so I don't really care what the Cubs do.
  15. QUOTE (Noonskadoodle @ Aug 7, 2012 -> 04:47 PM) Nice to see another Toledo representer on SOXTALK!!!
  16. Jim Rome is on CBS now? Everyone is bailing from ESPN.
  17. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 7, 2012 -> 02:05 PM) You get to pick from that list and Tyler Flowers, if you don't re-up with AJ. You wouldn't want Napoli?
  18. QUOTE (flavum @ Aug 7, 2012 -> 02:17 PM) They went 33-21 from Games 55-108. If they match it, 91 wins. Plus that final 19 games for them...is anyone going to be surprised if they go 15-4? Playing better recently, sure, absolutely. They also played poorly from game 2-55 (23-30) That's the same team, except now they have Infante, Sanchez, and rotated some of their generic AAA outfielders (Rayburn/Kelly/Ryhmes, et al) Yeah, they lost Smyly and Fister for some time, but we've goon through stretches without a lot of our starters too. I'm still in wait-and-see mode from Detroit. EDIT: Forgot my oxford comma.
