Official 2011 MLB Draft - Day 3
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 01:48 PM) Whose projecting Ozzie's kid as a corner OF or 1B? Worse case I thought he was moving to 2B. Ozney's bat has always been the questionmark as people didn't know if he'd develop the power (supposedly he has raw power potential thought) but he did put up a very good average at Miami Dade. The power hasn't showed up but he supposedly projects as an above average defensive outfielder. He primarily played 3B this year. He also played 1B and corner OF spots. He projects as a corner OF or IF, and thus needs to show some power. Ozney Guillen isn't a very good prospect. He was only the 6th best hitter on his team this year.

Official 2011 MLB Draft - Day 3
QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Jun 8, 2011 -> 12:45 PM) Quite well in his first year at JC. Gregor said the opposite. Kid didn't hit for much of any power and doesn't have a single HR. Probably not going to do well as a corner OF/1B with no power to speak of.

Official 2011 MLB Draft - Day 2
QUOTE (Pale Sox @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 11:55 PM) For all we know, Ozzie being in a bad mood could be totally unrelated. I seriously doubt it, but he never stated a reason. Maybe it was something from the clubhouse, or other personal matters. Who knows for sure. I just posted his tweet because I found it coincidental. But that's really all it is at this point. I had the exact same reaction you did after reading Ozzie's tweets. Especially after the huge stink he made last year.

I like what the Jays have been doing. If Stilson's injury isn't serious he's a top 20 talent.

Susac sure has plummeted. So has Hedges, but that could be a money issue.

Official 2011 MLB Draft - Day 2
QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Jun 7, 2011 -> 11:20 AM) I don't mind giving draft's flash grades, but we just need to realize as good as drafts look today, those same ones will look very bad in four years. And vice versa. I would be interesting to see how Baseball America's draft grades look four years later. Probably very little correlation. Well said.
