  1. Dick, he made two bad throws in two games. The second was scooped up by Abreu, so there was no error. Both were short, routine tosses. Both times he looked like Steve Sax used to look. They have nothing to do with Robert's mishap.
  2. And, if Madrigal cannot make the throws, he will be in Charlotte, which means Lamb gets to play somewhere.
  3. That should have been scored an Error by Eaton.
  4. Madrigal short armed that throw to first. He's another Steve Sax if he doesn't get it fixed.
  5. You're looking for logic in all the wrong places.
  6. I never understood the need for 13 pitchers.
  7. Was there a play at second? If no one was on base, there is no reason to throw a fast ball to second, is there? I just can't imagine a guy playing baseball all his life and not being able to make that throw.
  8. Where are you going to play your A Ball Lotto Tickets? And who are you going to cut to make room?
  9. Not true. Our oldest ex president calls himself Jimmy, as do I.
  10. Cooper not wanting pitchers to throw a curve ball is nuts.
  11. Both positive and negative impacts.
  12. Last I saw these guys couldn't get anyone out. Neither one.
  13. I saw the replay of Mendick getting thrown out at third. Not very swift, and the slide was lousy.
  14. Especially if you are not an ex-player. I'm just an observer, but it always rankled me that ex jocks get those plum broadcasting gigs, and they usually aren't better than the non-jocks. Of course, I loved Hawk and have high regard for Stone, so there you go. Rockies have certainly had their share of ex jock dodos on the mic. So many non jock broadcasters added so much to the game over the years, including Vin Scully, Ernie Harwell, on and on. Put Harry Carry in there, too.
  15. IIRC, Law lampooned White Sox brass for trading Tatis immediately.
  16. Classic stuff. Thanks, man.
