  1. Same here. He reminds me of Tulowitzki. I might add that when Tulo came up from AA, it didn't take long for him to establish himself as the leader of that team.
  2. Ventura took a lot of heat on SoxTalk; I never thought he was so terrible, other than he averaged about 75 wins per year.
  3. How much of their int'l money did Sox give up? All of it?
  4. One of the all-time worst trades ever.
  5. Sorry if this has been mentioned earlier, but the Miami GM, Ms Ng,, said she made the Burger trade thru Kenny, not Rick. She wanted Burger.
  6. I'm sure it was just money. Get TT's salary off the Dodger books, or you can keep Lynn.
  7. Stats went down every year in college.
  8. So, why did he leave the clubhouse yesterday an hour before trading deadline?
  9. Not surprised. Fire him ex post facto.
  10. He was doing great until Fucking Engel dropped the pop up in foul territory with 2 outs in the 9th. Game should have been ova. Next pitch, home run. Tony should have walked out there and taken Engel off the field.
  11. Bama Doc has Charlotte losing Game 1 of the doubleheader.
  12. I thought he was worth extending. He had one really lousy game where he put four straight on base in a loss but was effective most of the time.
  13. Crotchet shut down for another month.
  14. Lynn got his first Dodger victory. 7 innings, 3 runs.
  15. They could easily make an offer to Giolito if Halos don't extend him first.
  16. Just read this thread every day for the next 11.5 months.
  17. I wonder what the record is for most DFA's in one season for a player.
  18. Not quite, thanks. I still remember my Dad taking me to a Sox-Browns game in either 1948 or 49. Satchel Paige pitched for the Browns, and he drew a pretty big crowd, as I remember. He did his funny wind up and threw the eephus pitch. Crowd loved it, of course. But the Browns had horrible teams, always in last place. Mickey Mantle was quoted once that after Ned Garver pitched, they had nobody. Back in the 30-s or early 40's they even had a one-armed left fielder.
  19. I tried to listen to Hahn. He is just so full of hot air, and a waste of it.
