Gabe Kapler
Yes. Leave Vaughn alone, at least for one more season. He's a first baseman all his life, probably, because he could hit and is slow. What difference does it make if he is 5 11 or 6 3? There have been other first basemen who were not tall. How about Don Mattingly, Rod Carew, Joey Votto, Mark Grace, just for openers. Vaughn figures to be at least a slightly better hitter in 2024. He'll be fine.

Yeah, I'd do that, too. Throw in Benintendi.

MLB Trade Rumors - Chicago White Sox Offseason Outlook - by Tim Dierkes
Probably true. Mostly because of pitching.

This Day In Sox History...October 12
I just saw a replay of the AJ false strikeout. What a bad call. The catcher clearly caught the pitch before it hit the ground.

Gabe Kapler
Now that you mention it, he probably did use them. Certainly looked like it, and steroids were more prevalent then. Still, he hustled his ass off, got the most out of his ability, etc.

Gabe Kapler
Back to Kapler. I kind of like him. I know he hustled his ass off as a player, and he was big time into weightlifting when he played. I say, offer him a coaching position. Make him weightlifting coach, hitting coach, bench coach, etc.

2023 Division Series
If the Dodgers had left Lynn in the game for, say, his usual 5 innings, how home runs would have given up?

Andrew Vaughn and Eloy: what's the plan here?
Yes, and Sox will no doubt get some offers for Vaughn. He actually hits the ball hard on occasion. Plus, he actually hustles. Those two attributes cover a multitude of sins.

Andrew Vaughn and Eloy: what's the plan here?
Continuing.... Part of Vaughn's problem is that he was drafted so high. If Sox would have taken him in Round 2, he wouldn't get nearly this much criticism.

Andrew Vaughn and Eloy: what's the plan here?
Now you're exaggerating. I watched a lot of White Sox baseball the last two seasons, and I saw Vaughn dig a lot of throws out of the dirt. He has reasonable range and his arm to second base is fine. Sure, he messed up a few balls. Those are called errors. Everyone has a few. Yes, I remember two foul balls that got the best of him. Big deal. If you want to talk about his outfield play, I'll agree with you, but not his first base play.

They Gone - lots of coaching changes
Does anyone here know what the all-time service record is for a Coach on one team? Dave Nelson of Cleveland comes to mind, as well as Tony Lazzeri with the Yankees. Boston has to be in the Top Ten.

Trevor Bauer
At least Bauer has the balls to open up in front of the camera. He didn't look dishonest to me. I doubt if the chick will do the same.

Burger To Marlins
And, they got nothing for Burger. Just an old pitcher who couldn't pitch in AA who now is going to the Arizona Fall League as a 25 year old. The trade is so stupid. I'm still shaking my head in confusion and disgust.

Not gonna make it to 3 pages.

9/30- Sox vs Padres, 100 Losses!
Yes. Included in the haul for Clevinger was slugger Josh Naylor.

9/29- Sox vs Padres, loss 99
That's over a Billion. I bet the owner approved them all. And, Preller signed Shields before Sox bailed him out. Stay away from Preller.

ESPN ranked White Sox season #30 last in MLB with an F ranking.
I would have ranked them #31.

9/26-28, Sox vs Diamondbacks series
Yes. He hustles, has 21 homers, 80 ribbies. If he could just learn to lay off sliders way out of the hitting zone, his numbers would go way up.

9/26-28, Sox vs Diamondbacks series
One thing I've noticed about the White Sox. When Kory Lee goes 0 for 4, his batting average does not go down much, I hope he figures it out this off season.

SSHM, how do you find time for your music? I once thought I was pretty advanced, but you and Wegner are miles ahead of me. Miles.
