Man, it's not that hard for those who take 5 minutes to fact check.

Use promo code "PETEROSE" to place this bet with MLB sponsor FanDuel today.

D-Backs lucked out. Sale got scratched from Game 2.

Aubrey Huff might as well be Godwin's Law for baseball.

Yes, essentially.

I agree here as well and clearly sucked at explaining my point, which is that the same people riding every member of the local media all year are the ones calling for it - so what do they think happens? It's not going to be a fire and brimstone judgement day. Just us more frustrated. I guess this is just me being jaded, because last year's presser let him get away with s%*# - the reason I bring up Bruce is because he randomly dragged Colas, getting his age wrong and all, as if he was last year's primary problem. You are correct that it should happen, and I realize this makes me look hilariously flip-floppy.

It's a next level poverty franchise move and any GM that can't convince their owner how asinine it is to attach Benintendi's mid-sized contract to Crochet is not worth their salt.

They need to get out from Benintendi's albatross contract of checks notes $47.5 million. Considering where their payroll will be next year, it's laughable that that amount is considered an albatross, especially after his (I can't believe I'm saying this) second half.

Y'all gonna really make me (mostly) agree with Eddy on this one. We pretty much deride the local media non-stop here. Now, do I think Vinnie Duber or James Fegan would ask actual questions at a press conference? Yeah. But it's not the same as a sit down interview - JR could easily deflect and pivot to a Bruce Levine or a Chuck Garfein and not bother following up. For every Fegan or Duber, there's local media that would just go "eh" and be like "yeah, things will be better now that Moncada and Eloy are gone!" Should he do a presser? Absolutely, cause even last year, it gave us stuff like "Chris will get it done in a year" and that wack ass David Eckstein quote. But The Athletic isn't sending Brittany Ghiroli and Ken Rosenthal. ESPN isn't sending Olney (who I'm generally pretty meh on) - they might send Rogers. I'm mentioning these reporters cause they did the huge takedowns. TL;dr - It wouldn't be as satisfying as people want, but also not as useless as Eddy thinks. JR would give canned answers similar to this statement ("Chris is doing what he can to address _____") and then answer a softball.

I had to vote other cause this is too fucking good. So you're ready to #UnleashTheBeak?

Most likely.

Let me get this straight. Back in the day, JR's supposed reservation against Hinch sas the trashcan scandal. Now the architect of the whole thing is a candidate?

Did bro just....toss his helmet on a grandslam in meaningless game?

He did hire someone from his alma mater during his tenure.

If they play hard for Grady, it feels roughly the same, unless they're talking about Benintendi or Sosa.

I've been out and about, but looks like Burke is doing well?

Yeah, this was a weird argument to make against the benefits of the #1 pick. Especially cause Danny Goodwin didn't sign with them (Sox low-balled him). He went #1 overall 3 years later to the Angels. The list of #1s who didn't sign: Goodwin, Tim Belcher and Brady Aiken. Not great.

The final score in the top right. Southpaw in the Vargas pose. "I'm begging." The doc being crated Aug. 5

If you miss out on the playoffs, it's all the same. The Sox played just as meaningful ball as the Twins all year!

There have been multiple articles about how he was indeed an inflection point and continued to be an outsized influence.

So was I, because I had expectations and was optimistic. After they hired Chris Getz, I had no expectations, and they still fell short.

By the way, AJ Hinch. What a fucking manager.

The cope is strong.

Lol, NYT, NBC and AP news alerts. Soak it in Jerry, soak it in.
