When you can re-sign Clevinger twice, you have to do it.

Holy s%*#. Loved Dotel when he was here. Rest in peace.

Somehow, despite him playing every game, I keep forgetting Nick Maton is on the team. Like my brain refuses to acknowledge his existence.

Here's the ultimate question: Would any non-Reinsdorf owner have hired Chris Getz? Would they hire him today?
-
I mean, I'd be fine with getting a Moncada at #22 in the draft and I guess a lot of others would be, as long as he smiles. But not a lot of guys smile through back pain. I never really disliked Moncada, because the only players I've ever personally disliked are the ones who assholes or Dominic Fletcher (and I will own that that is not fair to him). Plenty of other trades, but right now Booser is more likely to turn back into a pumpkin than ever give the Sox value. Young guys > vets on rebuilding teams. It's the principle of the matter, because it was a lost season, so why the f*** were they running a bunch of shambling corpses out there? I liked the Crochet trade. I'm just saying, for all the talk of change, we had a copy+paste.

People keep saying this, but until we see tangible results, I don't think it has any substance. Colson looked like a surefire thing two years ago, now suddenly he looks like he's destined to become a Moncada clone (if that). Ramos has fallen off. Nastrini imploded. The GM is still trading positive assets for nothing. The team is still signing worthless vets and trotting them out, thus burning cash. Last year was a master class in veteran churn for absolutely no reason. Giving up on young guys to play up said worthless vets. Getting taken advantage of by San Diego. Trading left-handed ace to the Red Sox. If anything, Getz is showing that he's a retread with a fresh coat of paint that can use Gmail.

Everyone is having fun with James Bond Convo, so this thread shall live. Also gonna cop out and say that Pierce Brosnan was my favorite "classic" type of Bond, but I like Craig more overall. That being said, my wife has never seen any Bond films and wants to see them all, so I'll give complete rankings after that.

I considered placing the $5 bet due to the insane payout, then realized I could get a sandwich instead.

Ah yes, it definitely worked when Pedro tried the angry boi method.

I appreciate Schriffen trying to find the silver lining, but 32-year-old Cam Booser finding himself doesn't make a 7-2 score less embarrassing.

Super Mario went 4-4 with a triple. Hell yeah.

Top comment is a White Sox pinstripe Bulls jersey. Both are absolutely fire. I got my best friend the Bulls' baseball jersey for his birthday (DH Gate) and it looks clean in person. Chicago sports teams may struggle when it comes to playing, but when it comes to style, there may not be a better city.

A good GM probably could have traded him by now, but what'cha gonna do? -

According to several posters, I'm guessing you mean Luis Robert or Oscar Colas. Only when they are gone will the Sox pitchers excel. -

Copy+Paste Chris Getz quote about not liking how our team looks, it'll look good under his regime cause the defense will be fucking awesome and pitchers will love it. -

I mean, he deserves some blame. But Getz and Bannister will need to start drawing heat soon. -

I don't think they're a first place team after all. -
An underrated part of the Sox first go around was the fact that they designed it, not Nike, and the Sox (supposedly) ran it by Giolito and TA before Jerry. They put thought into it and had player buy-in. I doubt that's happening this time.

As a reminder to Vaughn that no matter how hard he tries, he won't succeed? -
According to Uni-Watch I am wrong about this and that just means massive downgrades: Miami's is just a baseball version of the Heat's Miami Vice. Sox are just the Bulls. Boston's are the green monster, yes, but with little flair. Rockies is meh (I get Utah Jazz vibes?). Positives: Giants are actually cool (not hard to improve on the fog). D-Backs playing it smart with the nostalgia colorway of Serpientes.

Thing is, you could actually cook something up real nice alongside the Bulls. It's a little close to the current Southside jerseys with the all black base, but it looks clean. I also dig this guy's design:

This dude's "FIRST LOOK" at the DC and Houston jerseys came about 1-2 weeks after each team revealed the jerseys themselves.
