  1. This is a bad take.
  2. Despite how heated it can get on this board at times, I love all you weirdos.
  3. Give Theo Epstein some respect.
  4. Ok this one I legitimately forgot and was 100% brutal and awful.
  5. I'm just trying to talk about veteran pitchers signed here for decent chunks of change. I don't remember the going rate back then for relievers, but wasn't that a decent amount? Also, I know Dotel wasn't nails, he wasn't utter trash. FWIW: I'm not trying to add onto Parkman's argument because Jack's argument, because its a weak sauce argument.
  6. How the fuck are we just glossing over David Robertson? Or hell, even Jesse Crain?
  7. Sox signing relievers who beat them in the playoffs. Name a more iconic duo.
  8. I love when people pair established 1900 with 12 playoff appearances, because we haven't had the modern system for most of the game's history. Note, these are just from 1968 and backward: Expand it to 2nd place and they are at 20 playoff appearances. Expand it to 3 playoff teams and its 32 playoff appearances. Expand it to 4 and its 44 appearances. The Reinsdorf futility is legitimate. Comiskey's penny pinching is a fair gripe. But getting mad about the 1920, 1954, 1964, teams is an empty exercise if you're trying to count playoff appearances.
  9. Ok, cool. They'll trade him like previous face of the franchise Evan Longoria. Or Blake Snell. They're the Rays. As for the league, hoo boy. Man had a great rookie year, but we've seen people crash and burn.
  10. No way he stays with Tampa for this whole contract.
  11. I guess if you wanna go fucking wild and try and convince someone to move to second, Seager.
  12. I mean, Conforto is career .873 vs righties, so does that qualify as savage?
  13. Pharmacy chain local to NYC, bought out by Walgreens. Now all of the Duane Reade locations are "Duane Reade by Walgreens" and are exactly the same as Walgreens inside, just a different sign out front.
  14. Nerve wracking, but so fun to watch
  15. Zach LaVine man. Just, wow.
  16. I just want some fucking Ben & Jerry's and to be able to buy groceries without a register yelling out my purchases.
  17. Sour Patch Kids put in work. The Padres can keep their Scharffen Berger Chocolate Bar.
  18. Today, Ron and I are brothers.
  19. How unfortunate that this did not load for me.
  20. Unfortunately, the pharmacy closest to me is a CVS (5 minute walk vs. 20 for Walgreens). The CVS is a fucking hellscape. The self checkout doesn't work - they drive customers to it, but staff are just standing by it fixing it for everyone after each item, which the machine loudly bellows to the store upon scan: "ARIZONA ICED TEA", "OLD SPICE DEODORANT," "OREOS," "MACHINE NOT WORKING - PLEASE PAY WITH CARD ONLY." I've seen people get in fights there. Pharmacy lines winding around aisles are routine because of misplaced prescriptions. The ice cream freezer is locked and you'll be damned if you want Ben & Jerry's, because no one will answer if you hit the "call a staff member" button — instead you've just subjected the store to "help requested in the freezer section" for eternity. Shelves are routinely half stocked. One section is semi-blocked off by a permanently erected privacy curtain (for, I assume, vaccinations), but it's not really private since you can walk around it to get to baby wipes. I still get prescriptions at Walgreens, cause I'm convinced I'll be given the wrong medication at the CVS.
  21. Once they're traded, Caulfield will be all about them.
  22. B hands down.
