Oladipo, depending on how the rest of the Rockets season goes. Meanwhile, the Nets ... hoo boy. There's not enough popcorn in the universe for that team when you consider the talent level and the drama level.

If Kyrie isn't in this trade, well, may god bless Steve Nash's soul.

2020 NBA Regular Season Thread
Yeah, I retract the earlier defense of Harden (I should have said this when he earlier went to the clubs). Being pissed cause of Fertitta is one thing, what he's doing is absolute trash. Speaking of which, he's somehow not the biggest diva in the NBA. That title belongs to Kyrie Irving. If I were the Nets I'd just open up the phone lines and pray someone takes him (and god no, I would not take him if I were the Bulls).

Trade Whispers - Starting Pitchers
If anyone is wondering why the Brewers would take Madrigal, it's because Hiura has less than stellar defense. Here's a Brewers site speculating an eventual move to DH or first: https://reviewingthebrew.com/2020/11/13/milwaukee-brewers-2020-season-report-card-keston-hiura/

Trade Whispers - Starting Pitchers
Just to remind everyone... The Food Guys / NSC have said the package for a starter would be Madrigal, Heuer + xyz @Y2Jimmy0 has been pretty clear all off-season that Kopech, Vaughn, and Crochet are off the table in trades. James is also the one who hinted at Burnes.

Trade Whispers - Starting Pitchers
The only reason I can think of that teams would trade a Burned/Woodruff/Castillo (other than the Sox taking back money) is to jumpstart a rebuild during/post-pandemic. There's no point in having a #2 while their cheap if you don't intend to compete during that time frame, so you might as well convert them into a package that has Madrigal, Heuer, Kelley, and a flyer.

@Orlando, here's an article about Codify and how Hendriks and Giolito both use it. It's from The Athletic. Interesting tidbit: Grandal has requested the Codify maps for each pitcher on the Sox staff.

2020 Election Thoughts
Puerto Rico statehood was on the 2000 GOP agenda, it didn't have as much support in Puerto Rico. DC began rolling out it's "taxation without representation" license plates in 2000. Obama endorsed it in 2014, Clinton endorsed it in 1993 before a vote in the House, citing the fact that there is a place in the US where citizens are taxed but have no representation.

2020 Election Thoughts
I don't think you rig things, but make things more balanced if you do the following: Uncap the House: This has been a massive oversight that has led to unequal representation for nearly a century. It seems like the House has been capped simply because the Capitol ran out of floor space (dumb reason) or because rural America wanted to kneecap populated centers (sinister reason). Some options include the Wyoming Rule and the Cube Root Rule, which is harder to explain, but is based on the U.S. population and not on the smallest state. It is worth noting that this would grow the Electoral College count. Give Puerto Rico statehood: PR isn't a guaranteed Democratic state - it's current non-voting rep caucuses with the GOP and its statehood has been on the GOP agenda. Politics there are different than politics on the mainland. Their 2020 vote passed statehood with actual turnout. If they want another vote, let them have it, but based on the most recent one, they deserve it. Give D.C. statehood: Yes, D.C. would be the most Democratic state in the union, but they pay federal taxes and have no federal representation. Also, as Trump just demonstrated, they have no ability to govern their own boundaries if there's a hostile situation. Maryland and Virginia have both stated they don't want them. Maybe the National Mall can become something similar to the Vatican where it governs itself, but the city deserves representation. The U.S. Virgin Islands/Guam/American Samoa/Mariana Islands question: We've been allowing states like Wyoming to have extreme power for so long with low population, I think it's time we have a real conversation about the non-Puerto Rico territories. Guam and the U.S. Virgin Islands have decent sized populations (100k+) and may go for it. American Samoa would likely not as they'd probably lose their property laws (you must be 50% Samoan ancestry to own property there). At bare minimum, they should all be allowed to have a voting member in the House, especially if it uncapped. This is not to "fix" the election for Democrats, but make it so that all Americans have equal representation in Congress.

MLB 2020-21 off season catch all
Not reviving the long dead Springer threads, it's just amazing how badly MLB.com wants Springer to the Sox to be a narrative.

Trade Whispers - Starting Pitchers
I'd be asking for Castillo or Burnes. That's a starting 2B, a proven relief pitcher with closer upside, and a projected first rounder who fell due to asking price. It's a steep price, but at the same time you now let Cease slot in at the #5, Lopez takes swingman duties, Kopech can come back at his own pace, Crochet is allowed to develop without being rushed, Lynn doesn't become a must sign, etc.

Good. Blows my mind that people are refusing shots, but hey, we let anti-vaxxers get solid footholds on the internet the past few years.

Trade Whispers - Starting Pitchers
A Madrigal, Heuer + package makes me want Castillo in return if we're dealing with the Reds, not Gray. I'd also make that deal in a heartbeat (then try and sign La Stella).

But also taking a deeper dive into the poll, this is all Americans. 32% believe Biden's victory is illegitimate. 23% of people say he didn't do anything wrong whatsoever.

2020 Election Thoughts
Only needs to be 17 Republicans, as McConnell isn't starting the trial until 1 P.M. on Biden's inauguration day according to a memo floated, so Warnock and Ossoff will likely be seated by the time voting actually starts (which, the Senate majority shifting power in the middle of a trial is weird in it's own right). The only people I can think of are Romney, Murkowski, Toomey, Sasse, Collins, Grassley, and Burr. My guess is that the rest will take Lindsey Graham's "move forward and unite the country" platform or Hawley/Tuberville/Cruz/etc.'s "Trump did nothing wrong these were proud American's" platform.
