Only needs to be 17 Republicans, as McConnell isn't starting the trial until 1 P.M. on Biden's inauguration day according to a memo floated, so Warnock and Ossoff will likely be seated by the time voting actually starts (which, the Senate majority shifting power in the middle of a trial is weird in it's own right). The only people I can think of are Romney, Murkowski, Toomey, Sasse, Collins, Grassley, and Burr. My guess is that the rest will take Lindsey Graham's "move forward and unite the country" platform or Hawley/Tuberville/Cruz/etc.'s "Trump did nothing wrong these were proud American's" platform.

Didn't StrangeSox drop a link about a woman who attended the riot in her private jet?
  3. This thread made me want to actually read up on Luba. Here's a profile from the SF Chronicle Bullet points Attended UCLA on gymnastics scholarship. Attended the same classes as Bauer, they became friends. She took meticulous notes that she didn't let him use. She met with his agent (Bauer set it up) - agent said she wouldn't be welcome in the industry due to her gender. Agent gave her advice to try and break in; she graduates early, goes to law school, competes at Tulane's Baseball Arbitration Competition Interned with Beverly Hills Sports Council, who then recommended her to the MLBPA as a lawyer. She sat in on 22 arbitration cases in 2018. The Bauer passage:

I love when people invoke comrade/USSA stuff and then conveniently forget stuff like 8 Republicans (7 Senators, 1 Representative) spending the 4th of July in Moscow in 2018.

A senator who used to be in an a cappella group and wanted Disney to make the Star Wars Thrawn Trilogy was the wholesome story "look at his old tweets!" story we needed.
  12. Here's how the deficit performed under Republican and Democratic presidents, from Reagan to Trump The catalyst for this PolitiFact article. The deficit as of September (according to the CBO) was 3.3 trillion.
  13. While it's not sexy for betting markets, Hendriks and another starter could put them up there. Didn't @bmags drop numbers where a dominant bullpen + good offense is like, the indicator for victory, or am I making that up? Obviously you need a good rotation to go with it, but Hendriks + internal growth for an already top ten bullpen can set them up nicely. (This is no excuse to not spend on the rotation)

And her family, which got rich via MLM schemes, are the owners of Magic. Her brother is also Erik Prince, the founder of Blackwater (Academi). He was in charge of it when they committed war crimes in Nisour Square in Iraq and killed 17 Iraqi civilians. Trump pardoned those guys recently. This, however, is where she draws the line. Mostly because the effort is no longer profitable.
