I thought about that quote and it made me realize: Paddy had to work under unfair restrictions put in place by JR, Kenny, Hahn and Getz. They should fire Getz and make Paddy the GM so he can do a better job.

It really comes down to this: If Generic General Manager was brought in instead of Getz, would fans want Getz retained or would they want him canned along with Paddy, Haber, Pedro, Tosar (who apparently got to weigh in on trade deadlines) and some scouts.
