QUOTE (Condor13 @ Jul 12, 2015 -> 02:51 PM) Q is not sale. He got the job done though. He's also not Danks. And Kris Bryant doesn't understand Q either.

Nate Jones throwing
QUOTE (ptatc @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 10:53 PM) His weight is too far forward for that. If it is than his entire upper body is lagging behind. If ptatc is concerned, I'm also concerned. Hoping for the best. Also, what would the pen look like when Jones returns? The locks... CL - Robertson SU - Jones SU - Duke MR - Putnam MR - Petricka Then there's Webb and Jennings. Even Danks if he continues to flounder and EJ and Drabek continue throwing well in AAA. My guess is Jennings would be the one gone if Danks comes in.

Samardzija Trade Packages
QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 10:23 PM) In modern day baseball, competing for the WC is all that matters. With this pitching, there is zero doubt this team can win October. They just might not be good enough to get there. October is a crap shoot where your odds are helped by stud pitching And herein lies the most frustrating part of the season

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 05:06 PM) Micah is going to have a lot of pressure on himself to improve his defense during his next call up. He's done as a major leaguer in Chicago if he butchers such an easy position. Fans will boo him out of town. You sound like someone who's never played second.

Aight, I'll give Greg some props for Flowers. He allows an extreme amount of passed balls and isn't a world beater, but at least he's not anemic right now.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 04:41 PM) You are speaking like somebody who has announced games before. These guys need to kill time and have stuff to talk about. If all you do is praise Sale then you become one of the homer hacks who broadcast for all the other teams. Stoney was talking about Minnie beating Detroit last night; Hawk was talking about another game just now. Let's face it. We're spoiled with having great announcers on the south side. Listen to other teams except for Scully and they suck. Hawk knows announcing. Announcing what, major league baseball? Because I have announced sporting events multiple times. Hawk is the ultimate homer. I have no idea where you're getting any other idea. That's why he's talking about Buehrle. Because Buehrle was here for such a long time and is engrained in White Sox lore. Hawk is THE homer in sports. And you know how you fill broadcast time? Providing supplemental information about players in the game you're watching. Go back and watch the games where Swirsky was doing the play-by-play. I learned so much about players from each team and no one was compared to Mark Buehrle, Rod Carew, Catfish Hunter or Carl Yastrzemski

For some reason, Lester having the top button of his jersey open is irking me.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 11, 2015 -> 04:33 PM) Now you're getting anti-Greg. You can love the Sox and worship Buehrle. Hawk proves that in his commentary. Right. I love Buehrle. He's one of my favorite athletes of all time because he created a great career out very little natural talent for a pitcher. He worked hard at all facets of the game - pitching speed, defense, holding runners - to become a great pitcher. He plays for the Blue Jays now and we've got a better pitcher going for the White Sox today. I want to know about Chris Sale, not Mark Buehrle. If I wanted to hear about Mark Buehrle five times a game, I'd watch the Blue Jays.
