  1. Q has the s***tiest luck.
  2. Hawk, Ozzie also has the ability to obliterate chemistry in a ball club.
  3. I don't think Rodon has a higher ceiling than Sale. Nor do I think Sale has a higher ceiling than Rodon. That ceiling is best pitcher alive. We're incredibly lucky that the Sox were the team to decide they would gamble on Sale and that the Astros were enamored with Aiken's youth and the Marlins with Kolek's power.
  4. After looking him up, I want Taylore Cherry. Talk about size.
  5. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 10, 2015 -> 04:55 PM) And said employee is unemployed. I don't think that is a coincidence. The fact that Ozney never got drafted again is hysterical. He's currently hitting like garbage in the Frontier League.
  6. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jun 10, 2015 -> 04:36 PM) JJ Cooper ‏@jjcoop36 26s27 seconds ago White Sox pick Michael Hickman in the 36th round. No. 50 on BA's Texas list. Big-time power. Been playing 1B but was announced as C That could be interesting.
  7. Quintana demands a sacrifice from the Astros.

QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 10, 2015 -> 11:56 AM) Some chatter that the injury was caused by field conditions at the Cubs' AA field. They did some repair work after the injury. Thanks. f***ing Cubs.

QUOTE (flavum @ Jun 10, 2015 -> 11:28 AM) Timmy took a lead off walk. The hell did Anderson do recently to get going? Play a bunch of MLB: The Show and just focus on getting walks?
  10. Danny Dopico, Florida International, RHP
  11. QUOTE (LDF @ Jun 10, 2015 -> 10:43 AM) that is, by definition semantic. at the time, there were no contingency, no reason for other priority when making the selection other than BPA. this definition is changing to suit other people reasoning. even yesterday, you mention BPA and you felt as you didn't need to add any parameters there as a suffix. Yesterday I said there is "BPA" and "signable BPA"...which is essentially the same thing I'm saying here.
  12. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jun 10, 2015 -> 10:31 AM) The front office has been committing crimes against baseball for years now while refusing to blow it up, yet can't put a playoff team together. Unfortunately, they gave Jerry a WS game ball so they have a lifetime pass. They blew it up in 2013 and just let the team suck in general in 2014. This year looked great on paper, but the crime is poor coaching right now.
  13. The operative word there is "available" Someone may be available to be drafted, but not likely to be signed. They ultimately aren't available.
  14. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Jun 10, 2015 -> 09:00 AM) Found a short but interesting read on Zangari. "He said Tuesday the White Sox had planned to take him earlier in the draft, but they needed pitching. Chicago drafted Clemson left-hander Zack Erwin and Rice right-hander Jordan Stephens in the fourth and fifth round. Zangari said he was promised a higher bonus than the sixth round slot, but would not reveal the amount." http://m.newsok.com/chicago-white-sox-draf...article/5426411 Very interesting.
  15. Vegemite got taken to the hospital with severe cramping. Not shocking, but I admire the dude's hustle.
  16. Chris Sale being a god right now is the reason we can't blow it up. Wasting his prime would be a crime against baseball.
  17. QUOTE (BlackSox13 @ Jun 9, 2015 -> 11:29 PM) I think the best way to look at this is what Sox prospects would fans be willing to give up for Shark and translate those prospects to the equivalent Astros prospects. Would Sox fans be willing to give up any one of Adams, Montas, Danish, Anderson for 3 months of Shark? Different teams in different situations. If I were the Astros and at the deadline I desperately needed a starter to go on a WS run, yeah, I could probably be convinced to give up Adams or Danish.
  18. I will say this. For some reason everyone likes to us Curry's MVP to s*** on Rose. Rose was putting up more of a fight Curry did until the very end there.
  19. Did anyone else think the Astros might have felt the slightest pang of regret facing Rodon?
  20. QUOTE (daa84 @ Jun 9, 2015 -> 10:39 PM) And get praised for it. There's just a different set of rules for him That plus his tackle on Rose. For one game I would like to see "LeBron defense" played on LeBron and the whistle be swallowed.
  21. Ok, they replayed it. LeBron can slide tackle now. Aight.
  22. Did LeBron just slide tackle Curry?
  23. QUOTE (LDF @ Jun 9, 2015 -> 07:54 PM) if everett was there, if hooper was there, if any of the top projected top 60 players were there when that draft was made, then he was not the BPA. however i do like that draft ALOT. that was a good feeling draft and it was a great pick. There's "BPA" and "signable BPA" Everett wouldn't happen at that point. QUOTE (OilCan @ Jun 9, 2015 -> 08:35 PM) Stephens is signing quickly! Damn. Nice!
  24. Rodon! Abreu! Bullpen!
