  1. What the f***? Tim McCarver got an award.
  2. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 02:19 PM) Um, I guess I'll say it because nobody else has. The dude literally punched his wife in the face. I hate women. But c'mon now. I ain't supportin' this dude. This is a terrible transaction. I've never booed a Sox player before, but I'll boo this piece of s***.
  3. Sale Viciedo Quintana Reed Jones Beckham (I still believe he can turn it around. Likely? Maybe not, but I think he can.) Konerko (I want him to retire here).
  4. From this day forth Konerko shall hit like The Professor again. And his disciples in the line up shall follow. So it is written, so it shall be.
  5. No one told me if they're against shaving.
  6. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Jul 20, 2012 -> 02:00 PM) Stolen from twitter: Anytime you hear the phrase, "that's illegal in 49 states," the other state is ALWAYS Kentucky.
  7. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 20, 2012 -> 05:34 PM) Just cause of the word "troll" in your post. I like the word troll even tho I am not one. I don't think there are any trolls on this site. I think a troll to some could be classified as somebody with an unpopular opinion who will never give up such opinion because it simply is an opinion. p.s. Last night's loss was huge. It's vital we come back to win 2 of 3 in Detroit after that stinker. We are 3-4 on this road trip; 3-7 would be very very bad. Naw, McGrad (or whoever brought up Reinsdorf in every convo) was a troll, like Milk said.
  8. QUOTE (Iwritecode @ Jul 20, 2012 -> 01:17 PM) Interesting quote. Especially with this next part right after it: Classy.
  9. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 19, 2012 -> 06:39 PM) Most people despise me, but please believe me when I humbly, truthfully state this fact: "I am not a troll." Go SOX! Not sure why you quoted me... But Greg, I don't think you're a troll. I just disagree with you.
  10. If there's one thing I liked about American sports definitively over European sports, it's that the jersey remains/remained unstained. Don't do this NBA.
  11. QUOTE (farmteam @ Jul 20, 2012 -> 12:08 PM) You're right, but I think he goes a bit beyond thinking it's wrong and not the preferred family structure with this: That second quote oozes irony.
  12. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Jul 20, 2012 -> 11:02 AM) @SBNChicago Dwight Howard Will Reportedly Test Free Agency After 2012-2013 Season In other news, no one cares.
  13. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 20, 2012 -> 08:52 AM) Highly doubtful that Cap is leaving earth. The tie-in will be at thor, and probably nothing else but Avengers 2 Maybe something like Fury walking up to Cap. Cap: "Got another mission for me sir?" Fury: "This ain't a normal mission Cap. This one is out of this world." /cheesy
  14. QUOTE (Joxer_Daly @ Jul 20, 2012 -> 04:06 AM) Jesus, just overheard on the radio in work here that there were ten killed and 30-40 wounded in a shooting at a screening of this in Denver. Terrible stuff. Prayers for all those affected. Apparently the guy tried to dress like Bane. Sick f***er.
  15. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jul 19, 2012 -> 08:34 PM) There is a high probability that GotG is a flop, at least by Marvel standards. At best it will probably be A cult favorite. It is a very strange property, it doesn't relate to earth at all, the characters are very strange and will be hard to adapt to the semi-realism that Marvel is trying to put into the series. Hopefully it is a fun action movie, but it will be difficult. I agree with the sentiments that it'll be hard to pull off, but if the following happens I can see it succeeding. 1) Thor: DW and Captain America: WS lead into it somewhat. Maybe Captain America through a post credits. 2) Go with some well known actors for the leads. Chris Hemsworth and Chris Evans are fantastic actors, but a bigger name is need for GotG. 3) Iron Man 3, Captain America: WS, and Thor: DW all need to have great receptions, so Marvel can ride the wave of popularity.
  16. QUOTE (justBLAZE @ Jul 19, 2012 -> 06:59 PM) Jose has really been the man, all season. Demi-God*
  17. QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 19, 2012 -> 06:01 PM) Women enjoy Chris Hemsworth and Idris Elba more than a talking raccoon and tree. True But this will all be moot if John DiMaggio voices Rocket Raccoon. And they can get eye-candy for Star-Lord/Peter Quill and Gamora. The person I've seen most sites think should be Gamora is Olivia Wilde.
  18. QUOTE (Carter224 @ Jul 19, 2012 -> 04:50 PM) The problem with it is the casual fan isn't going to go see this more than likely.. the casual fan knows Thor, Iron Man, Captain America, Etc. they will see this and go WTF? Most likely the same with stuff like Antman and the Black Panther films, I get that the popularity of superhero movies is booming but these aren't going to appeal to the casual fan. Casual fans did not know Thor.
