Evacuating a five mile radius... I pray this is just an accident.

Oh my f***ing god.

QUOTE (chw42 @ Apr 17, 2013 -> 08:45 PM) Not really... Unless he was getting paid $4 million a year, there's no real reason to think Boozer is a good value. The only thing I can applaud Boozer for the past two seasons is that he's been healthy. That's about it. And that he rebounds, forms what is likely the best big man passing duo with Joakim, and can still score more reliably than Taj.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 17, 2013 -> 08:36 PM) Boozer leads the East and is 4th in theNBA for double doubles. If he was on a small deal, Bulls fans everywhere you give praise to St. Boozer

QUOTE (greg775 @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 05:25 PM) That is awesome. I wonder if teacher coulda got in trouble if any of the children told their parents they prayed. QUOTE (Jake @ Apr 16, 2013 -> 08:50 PM) Junior High aged. I had been forced to pray so many times throughout my public school career that I was shocked to eventually learn that it wasn't allowed. Don't worry Jake it's awesome.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Apr 15, 2013 -> 05:07 PM) Can we resist the urge to turn this into an agenda thread? There are plenty of other places that can be done. He has to turn every thread into one. QUOTE (RockRaines @ Apr 15, 2013 -> 05:14 PM) I am in awe of people who run directly towards the blast as their first instinct. Those people are amazing. Just absolutely amazing.

Reposting this. http://new.livestream.com/quidditch/worldcup The Lost Boys vs. Bowling Green State University game is something that is now universally being accepted as the best quidditch match of all time. The video quality could be better...the audio was the result of the microphones breaking and having to use a web cam mic. We needed a better connection, causing the video quality to go from HD to non-HD at times. But the LB vs. BGSU game was amazing. It lasted around 3 times the average game length and featured both teams giving their all on the field. A Lost Boys player played with a broken hand (which we later found out was his shooting hand). BG was hurting from hard fouls all day long from numerous teams. Just. Wow. (Yeah, I know this sounds nerdy, but whatever)

Both TCQ and Greinke were stupid. That being said, I like TCQ and don't like Greinke, so I don't feel sad for Greinke. He talked s*** to a guy who broke his hand on his bat he was so mad.

This thread is this early? Damn Derrick Rose. -
Also, lets say the Lakers go crazy and Dwight says Kobe needs to be gone so he can be the star. Do they amnesty him? Then, who would want the Bulls trying to claim him?
-
I feel for Kobe. He probably will murder Dwight in his sleep now.

Sounded waaaaay harder off the bat. -
Nigel Williams-Gross is the only not idiot in that bunch. Kennedy Meeks is an idiot thinking he'd go up 3-0 real quick, let alone 1-0. This kid is a glorious idiot. Because of these comments it wouldn't even get to 11-5. It'd be over at 3-0 when MJ destroys the kid's spirit. Dakari Johnson clearly thinks size > skill. Probably couldn't beat Nate Robinson. Wayne Selden seems like he knows he needs the luckiest buckets ever, so he's not too dumb. Harrison is a dumbass. Walker doesn't understand Jordan's competitiveness Hollis-Jefferson has delusions of grandeur. MJ would throttle them all today, let alone in his prime.

MLB Finally Adding Worldwide Draft??

QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Apr 9, 2013 -> 01:52 PM) Free agents are signed because they've had success previously in the majors. There's obviously risk, but there is far less risk in a major league free agent compared to a 20 year old international free agent. Teams can certainly overspend, but how smart was it for the Mets to sign Kazuo Matsui? or the Yankees to sign Jose Contreras? I'm sure the Red Sox are extremely happy with their decision to pay Daisuke all that they did too. I don't see how you can say they aren't a large market club. It's the 4th biggest metropolitan area in the US and they have the 8th biggest payroll in the MLB. Both of those specifically point to the team being a large market club. Compare that to San Diego, Tampa Bay, Cleveland, or Pittsburgh. All are generally smaller metropolitan areas in the US and don't typically spend a lot. Cleveland opened up the purse strings for the first time in years this year and they're going to have a mediocre product. On top of that, I don't understand how you can say it's cheap. Michael Ynoa signed for $4.25 mill with the Athletics, and while he just got an extended stay stateside last year, he was not very good. He's still incredibly young, but there's no doubt that he's a greater risk than spending that $4.25 on someone else. Really, it's not like these guys are all going to go in the top 30 or the top 150. They'll be interspersed throughout the draft and teams will be able to draft and sign them and build a collection of talent just like anyone else. It all still comes down to scouting and development. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Apr 8, 2013 -> 12:35 AM) Because then Paint it Black can't complain about the Sox not spending big bucks on foreign players -
Well, that was fast.
