  1. We needed Nicky Lopez.
  2. Greg, I think there's more people than you think in the "keep Crochet if Jerry opens his pocketbook" camp. The "if" is important. I think that if the Sox want to be good again quickly, they're morons to trade him. But if they can't extend him, then there's no point in keeping him for two years only to watch him walk.
  3. Less so now, but especially earlier in the year, dude was making moves like he's trying to salvage a single season of MLB: The Show
  4. Of the GMs that will cash in on prospects (Phillies, Padres, Dodgers), they definitely lineup the best. I can see Robert going because Dombrowski makes a move, but Crochet staying put because other teams can't build a package/hug prospects.
  5. And yet, Chris Getz decides to get advice from his bff, Jed Hoyer.
  6. DeBong hits brings joy to all.
  7. Mets have a system with a ton of talent, currently have the last Wild Card spot, and were the other suitor for Fedde in the offseason. My gut says that they're the best match.
  8. Cause there's no guarantee Fedde keeps pitching this well next year and he'll be setting himself up for a pay day. And if Roberts' contract, with its team options, is suddenly a massive burden, Erick Fedde 's next contract would break this team's soul if he keeps pitching like this.
  9. Can we get their scouts / player development staff?
  10. You get whatever you can for Fedde because he's on the wrong side of 30 and cheap for only one more year. Thinking that Robert's contract is one that needs jettisoning is such a sad thought. Like, unreal levels of poverty franchise thinking going into that train of thought.
  11. I had one in college and I realized it wasn't a normal shoulder tweak/injury when I reached into my bookbag to grab my laptop and could barely lift it.
  12. Just chiming in that shoulder impingements fucking suck.
  13. That's pretty fucking cool.
  14. And Eloy was #7 when the Sox got him.
  15. We have several!
  16. I'm sorry, you have us confused with a competent org. You'll get Charlie Montoyo and you'll like it.
  17. Hell yeah, we're #1 at something.
  18. @DirtySoxare you gonna take that???
  19. Pedro somehow inexplicably finds a way to start Maldonado at SS despite him no longer being rostered.
  20. I think you could also add Boston in. A package of Crochet, Kopech and Moncada would be the ultimate dark comedy.
  21. I think what pisses me off most about the rules is that revenue sharing teams aren't penalized as hard for remaining in the lottery and can still get competitive balance picks. It needs to be one or the other at this point.
