  1. This could be premature but some teams do get hot. This was severely lacking during the Grifol era. I'm tempted to almost break my Safe From Watching White Sox Baseball. Did I officially break that though watching the Desert Dogs and tune in to watching the farm?
  2. Reinsdorf will find a way to ruin it.
  3. If the Sox were NL West good we probably wouldn't mind him. Meanwhile I decided to pay more attention to the Tigers. I forgot he was there.
  4. The White Sox are here for that relief
  5. Interesting some of these older players are trying to work their way back. I think Grandal is in AA Then there's the cheap ass team who try to flip them for some more minor league fodder hoping the one in a zillion chance they get something so they can rinse and repeat the process.
  6. It's the CF spot that worries me. He's useful there and will swipe a base if he gets on.
  7. If he only new good veteran owners spend money
  8. Every bad team wants to be like the Rays - better known for cost effectiveness but becoming less known for winning. Just think if they come along with that mythical salary cap nothing will change Those same cheap ass owners will brag about their 100 loss teams being $100M under the salary cap. Too many owners that are bad for the game.
  9. That's that Sox version of we aint got nothin Small market - trades, big market - signings Face it were are the equivalent of Marlin fans
  10. LOL let's go extreme on those examples, like that's suppose to make Sox fans feel better. Might as well be excited with Birmingham as well.
  11. even with a salary cap - s%*# teams will still be s%*# teams
  12. That way Getz can trade Elko
  13. Getz is already thinking trade,
  14. The Sox will not really have a decent CF if they trade him. We shall find out how big that hole will be even in August. Be an opposing GM and remove your sense of being a fan and you can easily think of reasons for not giving anything of value. A guy who looks lost at the plate is going to look even worse if he had to face more NL pitching. Sure you will probably get some minor leagues guys you will never hear of. We have plenty of those. Then there's always the soon to be DFA players. They got enough of those. I don't seem the harm of keeping him other than the absurd business of baseball that my provide one sided results. GMs also know the Sox are weak in identifying talent. Oh maybe the Sox will get another pitcher that if somehow becomes very good they can trade him. The rinse and repeat of habitually losing small market teams. The Central version of the Marlins.
  15. Only because the Sox are not in the brutal NL West
  16. He would have to do a lot of stupid base running to be a Madrigal. Is he there yet?
  17. when those real players agree to play here
  18. Not even close. Job was not about sin while the Sox organization is full of sin.
  19. At least their curse isn't JR and Getz
  20. Rockies are in a brutal division. Imagine of the Sox played in that division.
  21. Sometimes they even bring up AAA players hitting .350
  22. I'm still working on my divorce and going with the D'Backs but they also blow late inning leads.
  23. Sad that he is not the only bad owner out there. 1 is too many in a sport that is not as popular as it use to be.
  24. You have to be to work for this team. Imagine if Jimmy Piersal were doing games.
