The trade ideas begin! Robert for Holliday ++
kitekrazy replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Only in fantasy sports Our reality is a nightmare, Then all it takes is for them to make Boras their agent. Then we kick the can down the road and make Birmingham better. -
You have to wonder if the Padres ran out of prospects to trade. But you can dupe Getz into making Birmingham better, I admire their aggressiveness trying to unseat the Dodgers. That seems like it is the only real rivalry in baseball. No white flag trades there despite having a good season without Soto.

Said every fan with a cheapass owner.

I think more teams hold on to their real prospects. With an injury prone league when a major player is out you need someone to fill the spot that gets a short audition at the big leagues. It's a good way to evaluate their younger players. I just don't trust the Sox with a good organization's prospects. The coaching isn't there and never was. Interesting to hear AJ talking about the Sox organization when it comes to other prospects thinking if they were in the Sox organization they could make it quicker to the big leagues. The downside is losing service time and could be closer to a DFA than the big leagues unless you find another easily duped GM.
-
They could try the "spend money" thing. Getz continues to prove he can be easily duped in trades and get more Vargas caliber players. Trade is a bad word for Sox fans unless you like a decade or two of bad baseball.

It shows how low our expectations are when I see sign Leury and play Vargas at 1B. Death should be an option in those choices. We like to redefine suck.

How can they even catch Minn in 3-5 years?

I can't see any experienced manager wanting any of this. Sizemore fits the bill. I wouldn't mind David Ross. -
Lynn/Kelly implicated in bad teammates talk
kitekrazy replied to southsider2k5's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Lynn stated what Pham did about players being out of position. Interesting ending But it's still a damning indictment of both's clubhouse conduct and a very bad look for LA, to say the least. Is that it's not good for LA to rely on Sox rejects? After the last trade deadline it seems the Dodgers know who to fleece. -
he was out starting 2024 season

Wow I didn't watch (no ESPN) and thought 2-0 lead going into the 9th would be a Brewers win. Another pen impersonating the White Sox.

Funny how both Central divisions the owners that are like that. The sad thing the worst cheapass is in the large market. The Reds and Pirates always look competitive until..............the trade deadline. -

kitekrazy replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
As you can see people will bring up other organization did this or that bt the reality it's the White Sox. I doubt anything is gonna happen like other organizations unless you want to throw in the Marlins and A's. -

Their might achievement might be 70 wins within a decade. You can run analytics all day but still have the wrong people making decisions. -

Most of your better managers never were. See TLR. -
Getz would trade him to make Birmiingham better. Also the best way to leave the Sox organization is to hire Boras as your agent. Having a Vargas is a plus to Jerry than a Boras client.

Organizations notice. You wonder why he didn't have a contract, Senseless machoism in baseball is not desired.

Leadership Lessons From The Chicago White Sox’ Ignominy: Forbes
kitekrazy replied to caulfield12's topic in Pale Hose Talk
Yet the sun may also rise again someday for the White Sox. Because baseball’s most intrinsic charm is hope. Hope might take decades. The scary thing is Jerry might still be there. I often wonder if new owners would make some drastic changes in the front office. The GM is an epic fail but yet replacing people is not easy since you would have to lots of interviews. New owners would have to do a ton of research and if they don't it would be worse than Jerry. If spreadsheets are more important than winning then do the planet a favor and stay out of it. Imagine if Getz had to interview for his job. I doubt boasting about the Barons is going to cut it. How could he answer or that "culture" guy as to why players get better when they leave. As farm director is good enough to be on the non interview list. Plus I doubt the blame game would work either. -
Hard not to laugh at this. How many posts are there with Kopech with the same thing? It made the team worse and will for 2025. Trade is a bad word for Sox fans.
