Would it be nuts to put Peavy in the pen? At least when he first comes back. let him get some innings in without having to throw 100 pitches.

None of the teams on that list were playoff teams last year.

A guy that pitches every fifth game is more important than a guy that closes out your wins? Maybe, I gues it depends on where he can find more success. Would you rather have C.C. Sabathia or Mariano Rivera? I guess time will tell who Chris Sale is. I think with his motion he will end up in the pen.

I'm hoping Sale becomes closer now and forever. If he can be good or great in that role it solves a problem for a long time to come. Imagine the numbers he could put up if started successfully closing this year and had a long career. If he can be a solid closer why try to do more with him. Isn't closer important enough?

Jenks may do well the Red Sox. He would not have done well with the White Sox.

Don't give them more than 3 outs per inning, or shoot down the Twins charter plane. Probably the three outs thing.

Its not about individual players. Its about championships. Kenny has one. Another one and he will be even smarter and craftier and any other adjective you want to use.

Is coop still working on fixing Peavy?

Who will give us anyting but garbage for him and his contract. Trade Buerhle for garbage and ticket sales and over all revenue will go down more than his $14 Mill. Make him the number 4 or 5 starter or maybe a bullpen guy if he falters early, but keep him for a another run at it.

The number of households watching is probably a more important number than the rating share.

Why us? How do the White Sox seem to get involved in so many bizarre stories? Why us? Just lucky I guess.

$2400 on a dog? How many families could use that for child care especially at Christmas. Priorities? Ok animal lovers initiate attack.

With Sale/Pena as a starter the pen is .........well thin at best. Quentin's bat makes the lineup awesome with Dunn,Konerko, Rios and the rest. Besides who will play right if we trade him, and what could we get for a guy who could have a breakout year. Teahan, Flowers, Viciedo, Lillibridge, De Aza, have to be the trade bait to shore up the pen.

"IF" and I know it a big if considering his history ( at least with the Sox ) Peavy can come back strong by mid-may or early June can't we use Harrell as the fifth starter till then ? Usually the way schedule is set up early plus with cold or rain outs early how many starts does the number five guy get in the first two months? I say this because Sale is going to be needed in the bullpen. Our bullpen seems very thin and he would help very much there. Perhaps even as the closer leaving Thornton where we know he can succeed.
