  1. I think you could put Eloy at shortstop and it wouldn't matter. That lineup would score 20 runs a game. Defense be damned.
  2. I was thinking this same thing. Jack McDowell first pitched for the Sox in the minors in 1987. Tony LaRussa was already managing in Oakland by the time McDowell was pitching in the Sox org. I think what he's stating though is that it existed before he was in the org... maybe? I dunno.
  3. is WHAT supposed to be clever? Me posting a link from 2014, or the contents of the link? Did you click the link and read the comments?
  4. From 2014: https://www.mixedmartialarts.com/forums/OtherGround/So-a-rumor-I-have-heard-about-Mike-Trout:2391228
  5. I also heard that Mike Trout wears an oven mitt when baserunning to hide the electronic sign relay switch he carries in his hand.
  6. Tony Clark flexed on Manfred, apparently. If they did punish the players, some guys who were along for the ride likely get taken out with the trash. I think the league had to pick their battle. If they do go after players, what's the game plan? What could they dish out for punishment?
  7. this is the conversation down here in Braves Territory.
  8. Dylan seems like a nice guy, I'm not gonna dance on his grave. Dude just "got fired" so to speak. If anything this serves as a fitting end to a terrible stretch of bullshit Sox shenanigans.
  9. I wonder if the context of that tweet was Cora's bullshit while the RedSox manager, and not specific to Astros bullshit.
  10. Luhnow produced a culture of cheating. He's proud of the other executives he's mentored, now working/running other teams. Scary shit.
  11. I read that entire statement in Richard Nixon's "Im not a crook" voice
  12. Twitter cracks me up. "The Houston *Astericks "
  13. I was seriously asking your opinion.... I wonder if Ozzie is a bit of a curse. Makes sense if true. I remember Cora interviewing for Manager gigs before his brother was retired from baseball.... so its gotta be Ozzie.
  14. Which association? Ozzie or Alex? Maybe Joey Cora just didn't have what teams were looking for?
  15. The White Sox are seemingly recovered from the bonus skimming scandal. I'm guessing they wouldn't want to take on someone coming off of their own scandal. But, what do I know.... weirder things have happened.
  16. His stuff should play well in a big park. I wish him well.
  17. Their GM is his former agent, no?
  18. That's not what I meant. What I meant to say, and probably didn't map out very well, was that FO employees aren't going to run for the exits suddenly because the head got cut off. Its an opportunity for some, when others take the fall.
  19. The type of people that cheat to gain an advantage are the same people that step over dead bodies. This is an opportunity to move up, not move over.
  20. I find it terribly difficult to believe ownership didn’t know what was going on.
  21. Wait, no mention of the Billy Beane GM simulator? That game was boring AF but it had a bomb soundtrack.
  22. Still kinda like that guy. Filthy stuff if he ever could throw strikes #sadface
  23. yea, I think he has real sources... he's gotten some stuff right and other stuff really close that was confirmed by others. At the very least, its a fun twitter follow.
  24. Evan Marshall clearly just wants to chuck some apples and is ready to go.
