We're expecting it here in Southern Indiana as well. Yes, and Stephanie Abrams is pretty fine as well.

I appreciate Todd Ritchie because he was a primary contributor to the most significant baseball record I've ever witnessed in person. http://www.baseball-almanac.com/box-scores...id=200207020CHA

2011-2012 NCAA Basketball Thread
The conference needs to fill the seats, so Indy and Chicago are the only real viable options for the tournament. Also, since Purdue has only won once and IU none, it doesn't seem to be a major advantage. It's not like either team is playing on their home court.

How many of Italy's best players played? If it was most of them, then it's a pretty big win even though just a friendly.

I think my all-time least favorite Sox player is Mike Squires. How does a guy with a .318 career SLG get to play nearly 700 games at 1B?? That's a lower career SLG than Ozzie.

Daylight Savings Time
I would have less of a problem if DST were just May-September. Kids are out of school most of that time, and even when they aren't, sunrise will still be early enough that they can wait for buses in the light. DST in March and November is stupid, especially when compounded in areas that are already one time zone off from where they should be.

Arizona ---> Chicago road trip
Mt. Rushmore is pretty cool, and there's lots of other stuff out there to see. I didn't realize you were willing to go THAT far out of your way. Rocky Mtn. National Park in Colorado is very nice. Deadwood is not too far from Mt. Rushmore and is neat. There's a huge ass ball of twine just west of Minneapolis that's, um, interesting.

Daylight Savings Time
I'm not faulting Franklin, but how about taking recent developments into concern when making policy? Compounding the problem is that much of the country is already an hour ahead of its natural time zone, so it's doubling the problem. On March 12 in South Bend, sunrise will be at 8:01 am with sunset at 7:49 pm. How messed up is that?

New York City
The one time I went to NY and had to get my own hotel, we got a room in Secaucus NJ at a nice hotel for $99/night. The hotel had a free shuttle to the NJ Transit station, and it was only a 10 minute train ride to Penn Station. There is a website called betterbidding.com where you can see exactly what rates and hotels people have been getting on Priceline and Hotwire.

Daylight Savings Time
What a fantastic idea--move the daylight to the evening where the adults can enjoy it and let kids wait for morning school buses in the dark where they can be attacked and hit by cars!

Annual Soxtalk Bracket Challenge
I am in, though despite watching more college basketball than 99% of people, I am notoriously bad at the bracket challenge. I've been picking brackets since 1983 and gotten the winner right only twice (though I did peg Butler for the Final Four two years ago).
