  1. It's almost like they are losing on purpose.
  2. This is one of the most ridicules comments I have read this year.
  3. When you come back from 9 down to tie it you bring in one of your best relievers to hold the other team. I'd blame Grifol but he doesn't have a good reliever.
  4. Weak questions and non answers. Getz's generalities were annoying as hell. Heaven help white sox fans.
  5. I wondered why Anderson didn't try for a inside the parker until replay showed him jogging to first.
  6. Looks like I was close, however it was the 46 year old whose gun went off. https://cwbchicago.com/2023/08/gunfire-that-injured-2-sox-fans-likely-originated-inside-ballpark-chicago-police.html
  7. More details coming out. https://cwbchicago.com/2023/08/bullet-that-struck-2-fans-during-white-sox-game-may-have-been-fired-a-mile-away.html
  8. My guess. 26 year old's concealed gun discharged, hitting her friend/relative in the leg. Odd bit of the story has the 26 year old with a graze wound to her stomach, refusing medical attention.
  9. Somebody, please somebody, take a chance on Moncada and take him off our hands. I never want to see him take another third strike.
  10. It was hoped by some that Tim Anderson would be a role model that would encourage African American youth to play baseball.
  11. Our beloved broadcasters just recently were bemoaning the fact that one of the major problems the Sox have is being out-homered at home. And what does Hahn do, trade away a thirty to forty homer a year player who has been a bright light in this dark season. But what do you expect from are GM who traded away Fernando Tatis and Marcus Semien? I hate this trade.
  12. Couldn't agree more. Watching this years derby, the swings necessarily came so fast you couldn't even watch the majestic trajectory of the home runs. The pitchers ability to consistently groove a perfect pitch and the batters ability to cycle into preparedness for the pitches was more important than a hitters long ball talent.
  13. The hardest thing about watching this mediocre team is listening to Jason Benetti. Last night was especially annoying. He is the ultimate company man. I find myself turning of the sound on the broadcast and not just for the Nationwide jingle.
  14. May I suggest watching the youtube recap. Or, take a longer afternoon nap.
  15. And Tim Anderson is completely lost at the plate. Nice to see him try to hit the ball hard late in the game. If I didn't know better, I would think he is playing to not get traded.
  16. Lots of talk on here of removing GM and manager. Why no talk of replacing hitting coach?
  17. Why is no one calling for Jos'e Castro's head?
  18. The term disengagement Benetti describing every pitch by type. Took me awhile to realize they were computer generated and he was reading. Constant promos Lack of subtitles when Ozzie talks .
  19. As to your first point, People are suggesting Burger at third and Moncada at second to get them both in the line-up at the same time. The Sox have too many DH's and we need Burger in the line-up every day. What is a fan card? As to "no motivation" and "not very bright", we all would like to see Moncada succeed but we see a player who appears to just be going through the motions when he could be so much more.
  20. Am I the only one who thinks that Moncada is not very bright? As for Binetti, I long for the day he moves on to a National sports network.
  21. Sorry professor, now go grade your students papers.
  22. More excuse making by the TV hosts last night for Moncada not running hard to first base. Earlier in the game I saw Jimenez do the same thing. Tim Anderson is guilty of this as well. If you are making millions a year show some effort. This is on the manager.
  23. A couple observations from today's game. Vaughn is turtle slow and is a bad base runner and Romy Gonzalez is built like a brick shithouse with popeye forearms.
