Looks like you could be right after all Steve;

Bulls vs Magic tonight with Boozer back. Should be a good one...
-
My god, Alan Ball really does suck. Worst FS in the league by far.
-
QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Nov 25, 2010 -> 08:21 PM) I'd anticipate that Noah would be on him, since Noah shut him down the other night and Boozer would be on Odom. Don't forget Bynum there either.

QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Nov 25, 2010 -> 02:51 PM) There is no doubt in my mind that Derrick Rose is the MVP of the NBA right now. Paul is obviously having a great year, but not as good as Rose. Deron Williams might be D-Rose's biggest competition. Rose is def. in the top five, so my bias probably gives his #1, but I just don't see someone who is playing at an elite level that it more important to his team's success. CP3 and Howard would probably be top 2 in the MVP race right now I'd say. The Hornets have lost 3 games so far without any substantial improvement on the talent front, that's down to CP3 and Monty Williams. Howard's shown more offensively this season and could average 25/12 with 3-4 blocks a game when it's all said and done. Rose still needs a lot of work defensively.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 23, 2010 -> 08:54 PM) Honestly, if you want to get a player who would really fit in, and is playing well again, that answer is Gilbert Arenas. Don't think he'd be a good fit in our defensive system and that contract is just UGLY.

QUOTE (Chi Town Sox @ Nov 23, 2010 -> 06:54 PM) I am not sticking up for Deng one bit but him and Iggy have the same career average in points, Deng more boards, Iggy more assists, Deng higher free-throw percentage, etc. It appears that Iguodala makes more per year, yet they have some pretty similar statistics seeing has AI has been the first option on his team for quite a few years and Deng has always been 2nd or 3rd option on his And that is even counting Deng's atrocious first year with VDN, what make Iguodala the far superior player? How fitting that this came out today as well from Forbes? http://www.forbes.com/2010/11/23/nba-most-...y-overpaid.html I'd say Iggy is a better defender than Deng. On offense there's not much b/w the 2 really.

The Spurs are rolling right now, took care of us last night in a very well fought out game. Howard was very good offensively again, seems to have stepped up a level on that front this season. But I don't see us winning it without making a move at the deadline and I think it has to involve Vince Carter. Expiring max contract, but who could we trade him for. I'd love CP3 but that ain't happening, Iggy could be an option but he's not a good outside shooter. I think Carmello could be an option still possibly, but I wouldn't want to swap Billups for Nelson with the way Chauncey has played so far. Besides that, don't really know what type of trade we could make, but I think we need to make some sort of move, whether it's an upgrade at PF to allow Pietrus or Redick to move into the starting lineup.

QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Nov 22, 2010 -> 09:26 PM) I stand correct. Deng is the 4th hardest contract in the NBA to move. Gilbert Arenas?
-
Rashard Lewis has a worse contract then Deng I would have thought.....

QUOTE (J.Reedfan8 @ Nov 20, 2010 -> 08:18 PM) Good trade for the Raptors as well. I've always been very fond of Bayless and he will actually get imore playing time now. Yeah I love that deal from Toronto's perspective. Peja's a big expiring contract, and they should start Bayless from here on out. I thought the Hortnets would have been better advised going after Iggy. He would have been a good fit in Monty Williams' defensive set-up in New Orleans.

Jon Kitna scored a touchdown on a 29 yard bootleg. Never thought I would type that. Looks like Garrett's got the job for next year if we keep playing this hard for the rest of the year.
-
QUOTE (fathom @ Nov 18, 2010 -> 02:00 PM) Yet still not who should be shooting your team's FTs at the end of the game IF you can avoid it. On the other hand, Brewer looks much better now than he did a few weeks ago. You make Noah sound as bad as Dwight Howard from the FT line. Are we thinking other teams are going to go into Hack a Noah mode now or something?
-
Don't want any part of Ibanez if we're going after Godzilla for our DH. Domonic Brown I'd start the discussions around, although my guess would be Philly would be very reluctant to part with him.
-
JR coming back was good, that was bout it really.
-
That's argubly the most crazy contract exntension I've seen given to someone in the NFL over the past 5-10 seasons IMO. He's got more INT's then TD's and has his lowest completion rate since 2006.
-
Very good start for the Jason Garratt era so far. Best we've been this season by a huge margin.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 12, 2010 -> 11:12 PM) I'll bet ESPN is all over... nevermind. THE HEAT INDEX!!!!!!!
-
That type of stuff was always going to be on the cards (with the fans). The Heat's main issue is defensively. When they bring 100% effort and focus on the defensive end as they did against Orlando, they'll dominate teams. But my guess is we'll only see that 50% of the time under Spoelstra, and this number will eventually increase come playoff time when Riley's been in the hot seat for about 25 games or so. Wonder if Miami's regretting signing Joel Anthony to a 5 year deal after how he looked last night though.
-
QUOTE (lostfan @ Nov 11, 2010 -> 11:18 PM) It doesn't seem like the Heat are getting as much efficiency out of that offense as they should be. It's like, at any given time, their offense is one-dimensional and runs through either LeBron or Wade. There's only so many offensive touches the Big Two plus Chris Bosh can have. They'll be better when Miller gets back though. They really need some good perimeter players to space out the floor more. I think the bigger isue they have is the lack of interior defense against quality PF's. Bosh can easily be exploited down low.
-
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Nov 10, 2010 -> 03:41 AM) That was a good game. The sad part though is a stadium that looked to be at 70% capacity and Lebron James entirely disinterested. What a waste of talent. Chris Bosh... LOL. It's officially the Big Two plus Chris Bosh...
-
Yep Amir Johnson at 34M has actually been better value than Darko Milicic at 20M so far, but only just. We moved to 5-1 last night with a win over our biatches in Atlanta. D12 showing off his improved range from outside 10FT as well.
-
Thank god for that. Don't think it matters what Garrett does from here, Gruden will be the head coach for 2011.

Bit off - topic, the link from this link may NSFW (but quite interesting nonetheless); http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/blog/puck_dadd...?urn=nhl-282835

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 6, 2010 -> 11:55 PM) It is WAY to early to start blaming a coach for anything. There probably isn't a guy on that team who actually understands the schemes yet. Yep exactly, and the Bulls are probably around a .500 team without Boozer I would say talent wise. And they're a notoriously slow starting team as well. I think you'll see the best of them post ASB for sure.
