  1. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Oct 13, 2010 -> 02:05 PM) Pau Gasol Yep best offensive center in the game I'd call him. I'd also take Brook Lopez over Noah if I was building a team right now.

    Got married today...

QUOTE (shipps @ Oct 10, 2010 -> 04:30 PM) Thank you guys. I had some time to spare at dinner last night to let my Soxtalk peeps know I got married figured I would just check in with you guys. We had a early afternoon wedding. Funniest moment of the day: one Jason Gage shows up and is wearing the exact attire my grooms men were wearing....only he was not one of the grooms men. How he wound up wearing a button up pistachio green shirt and same khakis pants and sandals that matched them to a T. LMAO. Only Jason could pull that off. Hope it all went well for you Jeff.
  3. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Oct 9, 2010 -> 01:01 AM) It was Undertaker and the Ministry taking Stephanie. I remember he burned her little teddy bear and eventually McMahon got Stone Cold to help him. That version of the Undertaker was the best. It was his best music and best look. Yep agreed. It's a shame they'll never go back to that considering WWE's PG rating etc.
  4. For us, there's a definite possibility that Bass is going to start at the 4 and Lewis moves to the 3. I think we have to use this system going forward, especially when we play a team like the Celtics who are so big down low. I think by the end of the season you'll see Redick starting and VC being the 6th man off the bench. I'd argue that JJ is almost a better player right now.
  5. Bulls go 47-35, hampered by a slow start due to Boozer's injury and integrating new players and getting used to TT's system. They get the 5th seed as the Bucks win the Central by 1 game, but defeat the Bucks in 6 games, before getting swept by the Heat in the Semi Finals. Miami plays Orlando who beat Boston in a tough 7 game series, and the Heat win that one in 6. Miami play the Lakers in the finals, who just get past OKC in 7 in the Conference Finals. Miami win that one in 6.
  6. I will smash your face into a car windshield, and then take your mother, Dorothy Mantooth, out for a nice seafood dinner and never call her again.
  7. QUOTE (Chi Town Sox @ Sep 30, 2010 -> 10:52 PM) Yes, London is a great town - if you don't mind me asking, did you move there BECAUSE of business? Or did you move as personal preference and then found a job or something like that? It is just blind luck that I am hoping that I could get transferred but I have a lot of contacts in a type of business that is all over the UK, so just wondering if you were able to find a job when you got there if that is the case I returned home to Melbourne after New York, and basically the job market down there wasn't very good, ended up doing casual / part time at a couple of different places. Moved to London and got work here after 3 weeks. If you have international experience and do well in interviews, you should be able to get a job here (just get in touch with recruiters straight away). You won't get anything permanent in finance ATM though, it'll all be 6 / 12 month contracts with the view of going permanent afterwards if all goes well.
  8. Investing in some noise cancelling headphones if you have trouble sleeping on the flight could be a good idea. Bose usually have some pretty good ones you can get. I've flown internationally for longer than 20 hours about 4 or 5 times in my life now. It definitely gets easier the more you do it. Just try and watch some good movies, try to get an aisle seat (so you can stretch your legs out more b/w the rows) and keep moving around every couple of hours as others have said.
  9. Yeah as knightni said, I'm in London and been here for bout 3 and a half months now. It's been really good, obviously it being summer and all helps. There are certain parts of London which aren't very nice though, East London for example (where I live) they basically call it working class but the area as a whole isn't that great. But if you love drinking (and you'll see Brits drinking at pubs at anytime of the day whether it's 10AM on a work day for example) you'll fit right in. For me, I'm probably gonna stay another year and then look at my options (moving elsewhere in Europe, trying to get a job in the States or to move back home). But the travel opportunities are amazing. Visited Stockholm 3 weeks back and that was 2 hours away on a flight.
  10. Yep, just what the sport needs. Somewhere Lance Armstrong would be loving this though.
  11. I fell into a lake in Stockholm. It was awesome.

    i am drunk

I had to haul down 5 different taxi's for my friend last night before someone would actually take him, he was that wasted. He even tried punching a window down on one of them which was quite amusing, quite the aggressive drunk indeed.
  13. I preferred the 13 Things a Burglar won't tell you link down the bottom, very useful indeed.
  14. Hmmmm; Don't know what we could offer besides VC or Lewis + Anderson and picks really.
  15. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Aug 16, 2010 -> 11:59 PM) Most of these phones cost upwards of 700$ if you buy them without contracts, and many of them cannot be purchased from most retail stores without contracts, either. With contracts, the providers subsidize your price by paying for some of the phone on your behalf, such as an iPhone costing 199 or 299 depending on the storage space, these same phones retail without contracts for around 699$. The same applies to Android smart phones without contracts. The most popular models of phones tend to be sold with contrats only...because they know you want it that badly, they figure they can force you into a deal. :/ I doubt you can get an iPhone 4 this way (without a 2 year contract) in a usual manner, you'd probably have to ebay a no contract i4, which like I said, will cost a lot for this very reason. Also, you have to be careful when purchasing a lot of US branded phones, while the iPhone will work in most overseas markets, many other phones sold in the US will not, you have to check first. Since AT&T uses the GSM network, and most foreign countries also use GSM, you can sim swap and have a working phone abroad, many other phones, such as Verizon phones, cannot work overseas as they do not use compatible infrastructures. And this are not stupid questions, either, as this is all very confusing. As for selling you on one platform vs another, there is no real way to do that unless it's done out of fanboi ignorance. I personally use iOS, however, that does not mean iOS is what would be best for you. Same goes for Android, while that works better for many, that does not apply to everyone, either. I would have to know you, your tastes, etc, in order to make a real suggestion, otherwise blindly recommending something is ignorant. Since the iPhone tends to be more locked down (unless you jailbreak it), it's often easier to use for people looking for a modern smart phone with a lot of 3rd party support (in terms of both 3rd party hardware and apps), as it's uniform design assure the same end user interaction across devices. I.E., if you've used one iPhone, you've used them all. Android can be different in terms of look/feel on different hardware, etc., and while this makes Android no worse (some would argue the massive amount of choice is even better), it does add a minor level of complexity that some people do not care for. I can get one straight from Apple for £499, which would be unlocked and then I'd be able to swap sims when I wanted to. I was going to look into possibly getting one shipped over from the US, but you can't do that it seems (since you are locked with a provider such as A,T&T from what I've read). With the IPhone 4 you have to use a micro sim now, but you can still swap them over with different sim providers if you're not locked into a contract if the phone is unlocked (which it will be if you buy it straight from Apple).
  16. So I feel like a real retard asking this question, but here we go. Going to buy an IPhone very soon for the 1st time, probably the IPhone4 assuming they have it in stock. I basically don't want to get locked into a long - term contract etc. especially if I'm changing countries in the next 12 months, which is still a big possibility. I would assume my best option is to buy it from Apple directly, and then get a month by month micro sim from a provider over here? If I did this (having the phone unlocked from my original purchase), I'd then be able after say 6 months if I moved to the US to take my sim out of the IPhone without screwing it up and get a brand new micro sim deal from say T-Mobile or AT&T? EDIT: That's unless someone can sell me on getting a Samsung Galaxy on the Android platform instead.
  17. What could the Bulls offer? They'd have to include Noah as a minimum, and still include enough salary to make the trade work.
  18. Do they have a Chipotle's on Chicago?
  19. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 12, 2010 -> 02:25 PM) They certainly gave up value, but they turned that value in to perhaps the best wing playing SF that CP3 has had to play alongside since he was drafted. If you're looking at a 10 year plan to try to win a title it's probably not the best move...if you're expecting this to be the last season you have CP3 before the lockout and Free Agency...then you make that move. That doesn't really say much for the SF's CP3 has had to play with over the years though. Ariza shot 39% from the field last season, and yeah he's a good defender, but he's nothing more than a league average SF IMO. There's similar players in the league e.g Matt Barnes who can pretty much give you what Ariza gives you I reckon.
  20. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Aug 11, 2010 -> 09:10 PM) Great trade for the Hornets. Really? I thought the opposite actually. A guy as valuable as Collison (considering his age and contract) and the best they could get for him was a league average SF who's not a very good shooter. That trade makes Indiana relevant again, and the Nets did well to get Murphy for Lee. I'd love for Otis to find a way to dump VC and get Lee back in Orlando.
  21. My folks and a couple of close friends but that's about it. Although obviously it's a lot easier when you're on the other side of the world, and the fact that I don't post anywhere near as much as I used to a few years ago.
  22. Kotsay was actually quite decent in May and barely passable in June. April and July however, ugh. And he doesn't have 1 hit against LHP all season long (albeit in 20 AB's).
  23. This one is pretty big down under;
  24. QUOTE (ICP! @ Jul 24, 2010 -> 04:29 PM) Sometimes I wanna tell you...you are not wanted in this thread, this is for BULLS FANS ONLY....then I remember, its not. God dammit. You should start a Bulls thread.
