    QUOTE(Soxfest @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 05:16 PM) If we miss playoffs OG proved he sucks worst in mlb at handling a staff and should go day after season so JR can hire another CHEAP manager! Ok let's see here; Alan Trammel Frank Robinson Dusty Baker Bob Melvin Would you say now AT LEAST these 4 guys, would be worse at handling their pitching right now?
  2. QUOTE(JimH @ Sep 24, 2005 -> 01:48 AM) I agree that Sox pitchers have not been pounding hitters inside, that's been a problem. Williams is right when he says there's no excuse for letting Hafner beat them over and over. Confident teams find a way to pull that game out of the fire last nite. It is very hard to do (just look at this website for a good example) but they need to put last nite behind them and come out stoked and confident tonight. I saw one inning from B-Mac yesterday, the 8th. He pitched inside, and he had great success. Other pitchers like Buerhle have to take note of that.
  3. Ok here we go, just for this off-season (because I didn't want Alex to have all the fun). Re-sign Paul Konerko to 3 year $33M deal. Bid adieu to Carl Everett, and buy out Frank Thomas's deal. Sign Brian Giles for 2 years at 13M and let Dye DH or move to 1st, and if fails, sign Erubiel Durazo to 1 year $2M deal with incentives that could increase to 4M and invoke an option for a 2nd year. Take Joe Crede to arbitration for 1 year deal. Bill Mueller's probably headed elsewhere anyways. Trade Ray Liotta, Damaso Marte and Daniel Haigwood for Chad Tracy, even if one of Giles or Durazo signs. Move Iguchi down the order from the #2 spot. Sign Scott Eyre on a 1 year deal with a team option for a 2nd year (like Politte's deal, prob a little more though) to replace Marte. Trade Aaron Rowand and Orlando Hernandez to the NY Yankees in either A - a 3 way deal that involves the Sox receiving Kevin Mench or Matt Holliday. B - for prospects that will allow Chad Tracy to play LF. Move Scott Podesednik to CF. Re-sign JG to a 4 year deal, that mirrors Buerhle's, back-loaded with a team option for a 4th year. So in essence, 2006 starting lineup is; CF - Podsednik LF - Tracy RF/2B - Giles/Iguchi 1B - Konerko DH - Durazo (or Konerko/Dye) RF/2B - Dye/Iguchi C - Pierzynski SS - Uribe 3B - Crede And rotation; SP - Buerhle SP - Garcia SP - Garland SP - Contreras SP - B-Mac And pen; Closer - Jenks Setup Guys - Politte, Cotts, Hermy Lefty LOOGY - Eyre Long reliever - Vizcaino
  4. QUOTE(Jordan4life_2005 @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 06:24 PM) The Bulls are super f***in deep now. Assuming we sign Curry, our starting 5 will pretty much be what it was last year. Curry, Davis, Deng, Hinrich, Duhon. I'm assuming that's what it would be, atleast to start the season. The bench would consist of Gordon, Chandler, Nocioni, Harrington, Allen, Songalia, Badsen, who I think will be awesome, Pargo, with Griffin and Pike on the IL? I also wouldn't be surprised to see Antonio Davis traded sometime around the trade deadline. Don't they not have an IL now with the Development League starting up?
  5. Let's just Stan Van Gundy's gonna be under a LOT of pressure from Pat Riley from the get go. Wouldn't be suprised to see Riley take over by mid - season in fact.
  6. Let's see here. Mum came back from Phoenix last Monday, Dad comes back next weekend, trying to convince him to head back from Nov/Feb so I can spend 3 months there, but it's unlikely to happen since the work probably won't be there, they laid off about 80 of 120 employees actually recently (just all locals) so things aren't going too well for them. And as for me, nothing. 4 exams in early November and that's about it. My life is pretty boring right about now.
  7. QUOTE(SoxFan1 @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 12:36 PM) Season = Over. You have got to be s***TING ME! Game's not over yet.
  8. QUOTE(qwerty @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 12:08 PM) Pretty amazing since they have been used for about 27 inning all year. Liar.
  9. QUOTE(sayitaintso @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 12:03 PM) Why does marte have to suck so bad and ozzie keeps putting him in? Incriminating Photos.
  10. The Widgermeister. I'd hit and run here. Gotta get something going.
  11. QUOTE(DonkeyKongerko @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 11:48 AM) Regardless of the outcome, I have enjoyed watching this game. Brandon really is stepping it up big time. Only saw the last inning of the game so far, but see what happens when you pitch inside to the hitters. Success.
  12. Good to see B-Mac keep doing what he's been doing. Personally I'd leave him in to start the inning.
  13. QUOTE(Stocking @ Sep 23, 2005 -> 12:59 AM) Last I heard is he wanted a sign and trade deal. ehh......... That was his agent and Isiah Thomas. No way John Paxson is gonna do it though. What would the Knicks give back to the Bulls?

    QUOTE(56789 @ Sep 22, 2005 -> 01:39 PM) Yep Lucky you, we probably won't see that down here until Feb 2006.
  16. We just lost 4-2 at Calgary, they scored an empty netter at the end of the game to put the result beyond doubt. Duncan Keith, and Cam Barker on a 5 on 3 PP scored the goals. I'm thinking Barker's gonna make the team on what he's done in the pre-season so far.
  17. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Sep 22, 2005 -> 08:28 AM) Chad Johnson is no Fred-Ex though. He can at least back up his words. I always preferred Major Attention Whore myself.
