  1. QUOTE(AnthraxFan93 @ Feb 12, 2005 -> 01:50 AM) Year 1- Fail Year 2- Fail Year 3- Fail Maybe he should rethink his "charts" FWIW for the good people here at SoxTalk, what year are you starting Year 1 from?
  2. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ Feb 12, 2005 -> 01:24 AM) Which one? 25 in the 4th... 8 in 8.9 seconds... etc...etc.. 8 in 8.9 secs, without a doubt. How he could have intercepted an inbounds pass and hit a 3 still astounds me.
  3. QUOTE(mreye @ Feb 12, 2005 -> 12:34 AM) This wasn't a spelling error. I know, some may agree with him, some may not. Simple as that.
  4. QUOTE(hammerhead johnson @ Feb 11, 2005 -> 05:46 PM) Yep, I can't disagree with that. However, he was never, in any given year, one of the Top 10 or even Top 15 players in the NBA IMO. That sounds like a bold statement, but really, it's not. Reggie peaked in the early-to-mid nineties. Think about the 1992 Dream Team roster. Then think about guys who weren't included on that team: Hakeem Olajuwon, Isiah Thomas, Dennis Rodman, etc. He's one of the best shooters ever, but he's waaay overrated. He doesn't come close IMO to being a candidate for Top 50 in NBA history. I'm not trying to s*** on the dude's memory, I'm just sayin'. I mean, come on, the dude can't even beat his sister. I won't disagree with that, but to me he's one of the top clutch players in NBA history. I just can't forget "The Comeback" against the Knicks, one of the most remarkable things you'll ever see in the NBA.
  5. I'd be up for it, but I'd probably pick up all of the dud drivers anyway.
  6. QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Feb 11, 2005 -> 05:22 PM) Anyone else ever wonder what happened to "My Big Fat Obnoxious Boss" besides myself? Apparently, Fox unexpectantly placed the show on permanent hiatus (without prior warning) last month. As an avid viewer, I was disappointed with Fox's decision to shelf this series without explanation. I find it ridiculous this series was dumped, yet crap such as "House" or "Simple Life" remains. http://moskalyuk.com/blog/what-happened-to...300#postcomment Do they still have Who's Your Daddy on?
  7. www.bigfooty.com - A place to see Dumbass Aussie Trolls at their peak. But I'm mainly on this board whenever I'm on the internet.
  8. QUOTE(mreye @ Feb 11, 2005 -> 11:58 PM) And you wonder why no one takes you seriously. :rolly What if he mis-spelt Iran instead of Iraq?

    Owie...

QUOTE(EvilJester99 @ Feb 12, 2005 -> 12:11 AM) I am buying a pair of iron undies and then I will be safe.... Make sure it comes with a key, otherwise you'll have another type of situation on your hands.
  10. I'm assuming that's the one Chicago's own Bill Ransic was in charge of for a year. Man the rooms in there looked sweet as well. Definitely on my "To Buy" list, if I ever work in Chicago with a big fat corporate salary someday.

    One word

QUOTE(Heather Lee @ Feb 11, 2005 -> 06:02 PM) That's actually 2 words, Dbahey!!! Me? Empathetic Don't make me x-bomb you now Heather (99% of SoxTalk has no idea what's going on here). Well I forgot the hyphen, but I'll just say it's Aussie Slang instead. Struth.
  12. The only thing that worries me about Dye being in the #3 hole, is his high propensity to strike out. If we're going to play more small ball this season i.e. Pods gets a single, steals 2nd, Iguchi sacs bunts him over to 3rd, we'll need someone who can at least put the ball into play a lot more to get some sac flies etc. Not saying that Dye isn't an option, but he might not fit our needs the best. That's why you'd toy with the likes of Rowand there instead possibly, unless the Sox decide to stick him lower down the order for some more RBI possibilities.
  13. QUOTE(Man Of Steel @ Feb 11, 2005 -> 03:10 PM) yes I would like my name to be changed to Mr. X and then my little title thing from "1/2 man 1/2 amazing" changed to X Gon Give it to Ya that would be tits, thanks Going to start your own web-site and break a news story about your local mayor spending the local road funds on a secret swimming pool huh?
  14. QUOTE(YASNY @ Feb 11, 2005 -> 10:15 PM) Radke's solid. Not great, but solid. As far as El Duque is concerned, I really don't think he'll have any health problems. He's a full two years removed from the surgery and should be 100% healthy. I know I'm going out on a limb here, but just hand me the saw and if he goes on an extended DL stay, I'll cut the limb myself. The thing is for me with Radke, last season was a contract year for him, he goes 11-8, 3.43 ERA. The previous 2 seasons, he was 9-5, 4.72 ERA and 14-10, 4.49, solid but not great like you said. Now that he's got a 2 year deal, does he continue with last season's form and post a sub 4 ERA and hardly walk anyone, or does he relax and go back to his 02-03 form?
  15. If the Sox starters live up their potential, I'd say we'd have the 3rd best rotation in the AL, behind the Yankees and Red Sox. Of course with the Cell being a hitters stadium and all, and at least 2 of our starters being huge question marks, it's only natural to consider experts seeing our rotation in the bottom half of the AL.
  16. As a Cowboys fan, there's no way I can see us taking Tuck at 11. I don't even see Merriman in the 1st round, and the Cowboys are pretty hot on him, especially if they move to a 3-4. I'd also think they'd be very interested in a big DT like Hawthorne. And there's no way Rolle gets taken at #3. CB's won't be taken that high nowadays because they can't be difference makers with the new rules about no contact after 5 yards.
  17. QUOTE(SoxFan101 @ Feb 11, 2005 -> 04:04 PM) are we apposed to pm you if we want to join or just leave a post here? A post here is just fine. We'll be getting names and leagues sorted out before registration in 1 week.
  18. Well there goes our Underdog status, but really who cares. I couldn't care less who's predictes to come first in each division etc., the only thing that matters is actually being on top come October.
  19. Maybe he's another Dominican like Salvador Sanchez?
  20. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ Feb 11, 2005 -> 02:26 AM) President Bush will go down in history as the President tht lead the US into the great nuclear war and the downfall of the American Empire. (Yes i said empire) You think he can accomplish all that in only 4 MORE YEARS!!??
  21. QUOTE(YASNY @ Feb 11, 2005 -> 02:23 AM) That's right. They need democracy too. Send in the troops! You're 100 years too late, well at least for us (that's what the Aboriginals would say).
  22. QUOTE(Texsox @ Feb 11, 2005 -> 02:19 AM) They need Democracy! Let's send in the Troops. And don't forget the Aussies and the British while you're at it.
  23. QUOTE(YASNY @ Feb 10, 2005 -> 07:09 PM) As far as power numbers go, I think we can figure a few more out of Crede and a somewhat significant increase from Everett. I wouldn't be at all surpised to see Everett get off to a real hot start like he did with the Rangers a few seasons ago. If that happens, it could be hard to get him out of the lineup, even when Thomas comes back.
  24. How long until we have another Iraq situation possibly?
