If we have 4967 members, how come my member number is 8720?

I have accounts with both Facebook and Twitter, but never really got into Twitter. My account would be largely dormant. I use Facebook quite a bit for keeping in contact with people that are far away from me and for sharing information related to my sporting interests. There's an awful lot of inane rubbish on both, though.

Another medal secured for the Irish boxers last night. Katie Taylor's fighting in the final today to see if she can convert silver into gold. -

My new hero is the Russian high-jumper from yesterday; the big crazy b@st@rd! Lost his top an' all half way through, had to chuck on some aul' t-shirt to do one of his jumps before they could get a replacement. He was seriously rock 'n' roll. :headbang -

More European action tonight. Celtic take a 2-1 lead to Helsinki. Nervous that having conceded the silly away goal may prove costly and it's a pity that we couldn't capitalise more on our dominance last week to score more goals, but fingers crossed. C'mon the Hoops! -

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 7, 2012 -> 08:38 PM) Womens 100m hurdles is today/tonight. All the talk is about LoLo, but the other two Americans have been better, and the favorite is the Australian Pearson Pearson was phenomenal last night. In her race. Irish boxers giving a good account of themselves so far. -
QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Aug 7, 2012 -> 03:00 PM) "The boy has some stones" "He's got some stones, that young man!" Just heard this on a replay now. Brilliant!

YYYESS! Missed being able to watch all but one of the last few games, but glad to log on each morning and see the Sox still sitting pretty in first place.

European action tonight in Celtic Park. Celtic vs. HJK Helsinki in a Champions League qualifier. Can't wait for it. Was supposed to travel over for the game, but the transport for part of the journey fell through. Just finishing up work now to meet up with a few fellow Celts to watch it. Here's hoping for a good result. -
Hang on a minute. It's just occurred to me the injustice of getting pulled-up about drinking habits in a thread called "Get Drunk in 2k12"!!! Rather harsh, chaps!

QUOTE (RZZZA @ Jul 29, 2012 -> 06:35 AM) It's not who you play, it's when you play them! Go for da SWEEP Fantastic results! Keep it up, White Sox!!!

I don't do the fighting when drunk thing. One, it's an unwelcome distraction from the task in hand and, two, if it's at the end of a heavy session, putting one foot in front of the other is difficult enough to focus all my energies on. Thankfully, my pals are good guys to go drinking with, can handle their p*ss, and don't get messy. P.S. I feel like bottled sh*te today.

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 04:19 PM) The umpires had just gotten together to reverse was had correctly been ruled as a trapped ball and turned into in an out, taking the lead off man in De Aza off of first base with the Sox down two runs in the seventh inning. Hawk went on a rant about the other umps bullying Angel Hernandez into changing his previously correct call, and just general ranting like Hawk does when he gets upset. Two batters later Adam Dunn crushes a massive homer to RCF and Hawks goes from angry to ecstatic and throws out the "It's All Good" at the end of his excited home run call. It was an epic Hawk moment, that can't be described well on the internet. Unfortunately is it not included in the replay of the home run. http://chicago.whitesox.mlb.com/video/play...06&c_id=cws Sounds like a good, utterly polar performance from him!!

QUOTE (Reddy @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 03:48 PM) "it's all good" last night was amazing. What was this, now? It's a straightforward enough phrase, so I'm assuming there was some little sprinkling of mentalness to make it special.
-
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 03:48 PM) TWINS MY ASS, THEY'VE GOT TWO DIFFERENT DADS! Ha!

The early game time means I'll be able to follow this one easily. Great stuff. Get it done, White Sox. A good convincing win, please.
-
*breathes sigh of relief* So, it seems we're not going to need a bigger boat after all.
-
QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jul 25, 2012 -> 04:40 AM) Adam is simply Dunn-ing all over the place right now, you're invited to choke down the sweet nectar of Adam Dunn's mammoth spluge bombs. You're f***ing welcome, America. :headbang

Oh, thank God for that! Only got the result now and I was terrified I was going to go online to see bad news.
-
:pray QUOTE (Baron @ Jul 21, 2012 -> 10:06 PM) Hold it for the entire game please This... Please God. :
