  1. Yoan looks too much.
  2. Good start. Let's go Yoan
  3. Sometimes you just don't have your good stuff but Gio is battling and giving the team a chance to win.
  4. Offense looked so good the first inning.
  5. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Mar 31, 2018 -> 06:48 PM) That could have been much worse. Very. Let's hope he settles down because I know we will score more then 1 run
  6. Awful start. Can't locate much of anything
  7. Not sure why he didn't throw a fastball on 1-0 or 2-0
  8. Only got 1 but that was a great opening inning. 35 pitches already and KC's bullpen is not good
  9. One hell of an AB by Avi
  10. QUOTE (iWin4Ron @ Mar 31, 2018 -> 06:13 PM) So hyped . I love baseball, but this weather is making me perplexed... baseball and such cold weather. It happens every year, why are you perplexed?
  11. Lets go Chicago!!
  12. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Mar 30, 2018 -> 12:34 PM) Going to be sports overload tmr. Michigan game will be on the big TV, Sox on the computer screen. Excuse you. Loyola-Chicago will be on the big screen!
  13. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Mar 29, 2018 -> 10:32 PM) Tim Anderson has tremendous top hand. so uh, when can I embed a tweet! SS2K, come on, you're a bit excited, right? Anderson looks like a much more confident player this spring. He lost his best friend early last year and I think he really had a tough time with it. I really think he will explode this year
  14. QUOTE (chw42 @ Mar 29, 2018 -> 05:03 PM) lol umpire rung up Engel on strike 2. Got in his head!!
  15. QUOTE (soxforlife05 @ Mar 29, 2018 -> 04:59 PM) This team is going to be beastly once we get everyone up. The dead weight will probably hold us back from being legit playoff contenders most of the year though. To be honest I think the offense might be good enough to compete for a wild card spot. It will be the pitching that holds the team back
  16. QUOTE (chw42 @ Mar 29, 2018 -> 04:57 PM) Is anyone else's mlb.tv stream sounding like chipmunks? Im glad it isn't just me lol. I checked other streams and they are fine
  17. This team has some sneaky good power. Everyone but Yolmer can go yard 15+ times a year. There goes Davidson again!!
  18. Giving up 4 runs in the opening frame is such a gut punch for an offense and a team
  19. LOL that was a fun opening day
  20. QUOTE (Chicago White Sox @ Mar 29, 2018 -> 09:59 AM) Got to give credit to Tony for making that power move. Unfortunately he’ll have to face Johnny in the finals. Should be interesting as hell. Also, anyone else think Leroy was acting like huge b**** on this week’s episode? He has no business being in the final and the fact he’s been around nine seasons doesn’t change that. I understand why he was pissed though. This game is all about relationships and friends outside the house and one of his good friends (Cara) screwed him and then Tony gave him a BS excuse
  21. QUOTE (Reddy @ Mar 29, 2018 -> 08:49 AM) I don't know that I was *much* more stoked last year. I stopped paying attention pretty quickly last year as well, but I at least drafted a couple fantasy teams and knew when Opening Day was prior to a couple days before, unlike this year where it completely took me by surprise. I don't know that this is an indictment of the team so much as an observation about myself. It's weird and I don't like it. But I also started grad school last year, on top of working a few jobs, so maybe that's the reason more than anything else. BUT thanks for that write-up, because you're right. There are interesting pieces and things to keep an eye on all season, but lord that James Shields Opening Day nod does NOT inspire confidence You can blame it on Soxtalk being down. There was no hype starting the season or a countdown thread so it kind of snuck up on me as well. But I am still excited to see this young team compete. They all seem to like playing together and have a ton of heart and there is some talent on the roster too
  22. QUOTE (chitownsportsfan @ Mar 28, 2018 -> 10:19 PM) I wanna see the team compete. Time for "finish bottom 5" is over. If guys like Moncada and Gio and Yolmer and TA and even Avi are producing this isn't going to be an awful squad. that said, let's hope most the losses come on james shields' watch. In the beginning of the season I could care less about draft position. I want us to be better than expected and possibly fight for that 2nd wild card.
