  1. So you would sell when 3 GB when literally in the midst of a contention window and the point of playing the game is going to the playoffs? Had the Sox fallen to 7-8 GB right now, I think selling has some merit. Selling when 3 GB of two teams that are not good doesn't make a single shred of sense.
  2. Did you really expect them to sell when 3 GB of 2 teams that aren't good?
  3. I don't care. I'll take the larger sample. You can focus on whatever fits your narrative, but your narrative is stupid. Vaughn is an awesome bat.
  4. Hopefully a 1 game rehab assignment.
  5. Vaughn has 120 wRC+ against RHP in 2022. Stop with the non sense.
  6. THis is a very good sign. Turns out he isn't dead.
  7. Woof this pen is in shambles.
  8. I am not married to Burger at all. I would certainly trade him in the right deal. But he's very useful injury insurance and he has another option in 2023. Trading him for 8 Quintana starts doesn't make any sense.
  9. I'd hate just Burger for Q. Gross.
  10. He is top 10 in the AL in wRC+. Last year Nelson Cruz got the Twins Joe Ryan. The Sox won't trade Abreu, but if they did, they'd definitely get something interesting.
  11. Happ has hardly played any RF. This definitely feels like a Pollock situation where he'll be just awful in RF. Happ has versatility, but he's frankly not a good defender anywhere, so not sure how much it really helps you. You can stick him in RF and at 2B, but team defense is going to suffer even more at 2B, and probably just more of the same in RF. Not completely opposed to Happ depending on the price, and he certainly helps some lineup balance issues, but he isn't a perfect fit and I am DEFINITELY not giving up Colas for him. I'd rather just stick Colas in RF. I would enjoy a Wendle acquisition.
  12. I think we all can agree that this thing really isn't going to be successful until that fucking hag just goes away. The one positive I can gather from the Sox never getting over the hump this season is that hopefully.....please lord.....TLR goes away.
  13. He is supposedly an average CF and should be a solid defender in the corners. He's been playing RF since going to AA but was playing primarily CF in WS.
  14. A sweep this weekend would be dandy. Probables: Fri: Lynn vs. Kaprielian (RHP) Sat: Cueto vs. Blackburn (RHP) Sun: Cease vs. TBD (likely RHP)
  15. Moncada already has rebounded and Grandal certainly is looking better than he has at any point this season, albeit he isn't exactly smoking the ball. But yeah, I mean very few orgs would bring Colas to the bigs this season. Rushing prospects to the bigs is definitely a "Sox gonna Sox" move, which is what the reference was to. That being said, I tend to agree, and even noted as such in my post, that Colas is probably the best all around option in RF right now in this org. The bar to clear isn't high, and it doesn't require us giving us prospects for a short term fix.
  16. Half joking here, but if Colas keeps this up, Sox gonna Sox and bring him up aren't they? Honestly, he's probably the best all around option for RF in the organization.
  17. This makes Gallo feel more realistic.
  18. It’s truly unbelievable and picking on him at this point just indicates a lack of understanding the game. He was awful to start, but he’s been well above average for at least 6 weeks now. Sox have way way way bigger issues.
  19. I am as frustrated as anyone with this shitshow season. But there is still a division to win here. I’d rather see playoff ball than not, so I’m gonna root away until it’s not possible. Sometimes as Sox fans it’s hard to be objective when we see the horseshit play, but there is plenty of that to go around in the Central.
  20. https://www.fangraphs.com/standings/playoff-odds Even after todays debacle, FG still has Sox as division favorite and hugest chance in central to make the playoffs at 54.7% to 50% for the Twins.
  21. I mean fuck, 3 outs away from 2 GB. It’s definitely still there for the taking.
  22. They played like shit today. Bad starting pitching, bad base running, defensive lapses, horrible bullpen, too many walks, blown save, questionable review decisions. It was nice to see them fight back from the early hole, but the sox definitely did not play well today.
  23. I literally don’t think Seby is able to make a play on a one hop. He’s probably safe anyway, but my lord.
  24. What’s the point of being a fan if you’re miserable unless your teams wins a Championship? Find another hobby dude.
