I mean, its not really that simple. Fedde has been better this year, but Rogers has been better in his career. Rogers is cheaper, has another year of control, is 5 years younger than Fedde, throws with his left hand and has more projectability. I will again footnote that I think the Fedde deal sucked, and they should have gotten another good prospect in the deal. But these aren't really apples to apples comps.

Interesting to see Callis say he'd take Vargas over Norby rather easily. I don't think this deal is panned nearly as badly by Sox fans if Fedde went to the O's with the Sox getting back Norby + Perez and Albertus. Still probably feels a player light with Kopech and Pham, but I think the narrative wouldn't be quite as negative. Would sure be nice to see Vargas look like he belongs the next couple months.

Skip is currently employed by the Marlins, so I doubt that is happening until after the season. Could definitely see that being the plan, however.

Huh? Where am I "grasping for Getz's nuts"? I think he's done a pretty awful job all around. I also think this was always going to take a few years. Look, you can spend half your day on this board spewing negativity for the next however many years until the Sox are relevant again if you so please. Certainly your right. The organization is an absolute dumpster fire at the moment. But I am at least willing to see things through a bit knowing this wasn't going to be a good team in 2024 and 2025 no matter who the manager or GM were. I would have like our POS owner to make an actual GM hire, but he didn't and Getz is here and likely will be for awhile. Since I am a White Sox fan, I'll certainly hope for the best. I don't pretend to think WhiteSox2023 or I are more qualified for the job.

Pretty small sample, and he was REALLY good in AA. His overall 2024 line is really solid. I am not exactly expecting him to do well right away, but I wouldn't write him off due to 4 poor AAA outings.

He could very well still turn into a trade piece at some point. Tough couple weeks for sure. Id option him for a couple weeks, get the year back, and try again next year.
