  1. Not very much. $3M for Bonifacio and $2M for Gordo in 2015. Peanuts is todays game. But I agree...its nice to have internal options like Yolmer and Leury, even though at this point they're making close to the same amount. Yolmer and Leury are fine part-time/bench/2 week DL stint fill-ins, but neither should be getting everyday at bats.
  2. Anyone know is Vogt is healthy enough to play next season? Know he had a major shoulder operation. Isn’t a great defensive catcher, but would be a great weak side of the platoon with Castillo and imagine would cost virtually nothing.
  3. Have you seen a link to his comments? I’ve been trying to find it
  4. I want the Sox to stay far away from the acquiring Realmuto. Not worth it!! and I’d cry if the Sox traded Robert for Carmargo.
  5. Old friends Dan Jennings and xavier Cedeno get non tendered by the Crew.
  6. Yah it might have worked if their 2 best players didn’t turn into pumpkins.
  7. Truth. I will always root for Avi, but it It’s time to MoveOn
  8. Or better yet, a plan for that right field spot
  9. Well I’m 0/2 today. Lol hopefully not 0/3 when Avi news comes out
  10. Hmmm...definitely a little surprised by this but Davidson kind of sucks so not a huge loss.
  11. Hamilton isn't very good, but I'd have interest up to a certain price.
  12. To be clear, I wasn't referring to Colome fitting on the White Sox or in GRF. I was referring to the fit of trading Narvaez for Colome.
  13. I don't mind trading Narvaez. I actually suggested earlier this offseason that selling high is probably a good call. I don't mind acquiring Colome. He instantly becomes our best reliever, and we badly needed improvement there. I guess I just don't love the fit at first blush. I suppose Narvaez probably didn't have great value, but I just feel like you could have signed a guy like Familia to a 2 year deal with similar dollars and not give up an asset in return. I would have rather signed Familia and traded Narvaez for a high upside prospect that is far away, than two not super cheap years of Colome. But the White Sox got better today, and that I support.
  14. Hard to be a left handed specialist when you're right handed.
  15. I'd be pretty surprised if the Sox cut bait on Davidson.
  16. Except you're not saving any bucks....Colome is going to get paid ~$7.5M in 2019 and close to $10M in 2020.
  17. Can't you go out and sign a reliever like Colome to a 2 year $18-20M deal and not give up something in return? I don't mind the acquiring Colome part, I just don't love giving up something of value for a reliever when you can just sign one for similar, if not less, money.
  18. Lol, well hard to put too much stock into a nobody on twitter with like 75 followers just throwing that out there. Clearly he was told something, but the way he made it sound the Sox were going to be part of the Cano trade, which obviously wasn't accurate. Still don't get the Sox reasoning for trading Narvaez for a reliever. Just sign one.
  19. 2 years of arb control remaining. Made $5.3M last year. Don't love cashing in Narvaez for this.
  20. Morneau fills in on play by play for the Twins. He speaks very highly of his time with the Sox, even as a close to Twins lifer. Basically said..."I know you all want me to hate the White Sox, but I had a fantastic experience with them, and I think very highly of the White Sox".
