Question of the day? With the current CBA set to expire on 12/1/2016, and with things pointing towards an international draft, should the Sox go all out on INTL FA's like the Yankees did this past July 2nd?

Kyle Tucker is the guy I want at #8, smooth and compact left handed swing, easy power and he has all 5 tools and unlike a lot of Sox prospects, his hit tool is his best tool. (I would love for the Sox to be able to draft Brady Aiken dont get me wrong.) I think the Sox have to start developing long term solutions at: 2B, 3B, C, LF, and 1B. I like what we have brewing internationally, we got a stud in Amado Nunez and we have some interesting prospects on the DSL team and I can wait till they come stateside.

I think the Sox biggest organizational need are position players. Most of the guys that they have on the field are just stop gaps or black holes and will not be on the next contending sox team.

Plus why would you trade prospects, especially 3 of your best prospects to acquire a guy who's often injured and has a bad contract. The dude is owed over $55 million over the next three years. Making that stupid trade you suggested just s***s on all the work the team has done during this rebuild and it also go against the permaneters that Rick Hahn has set for the team when he became GM. No trading away young talent, especially young talent for past their prime veterans and no bad contracts.

Thank God you are not the GM, and you don't want Cargo the millionth f***ing time, he makes no sense for the Sox and he is the definition of a bad contract. He's not even a guy you could buy low on and take a risk since the contract is so big.

I would sign some pitching depth this offseason (Brandon McCarthy/Justin Masterson), and have Rodon start the year in AAA for some fine tuning, and I would call him up during either June and July. Hopefully he gets around 120 IP in the majors.

I would love it if the Sox drafted both Kyle Tucker and Ryan Johnson, who I think goes in round 2 at the moment.

Great Hire

Yes the BA or publication awards do not matter, but the farm system still needs some improving. The farm system is on the way up for sure, the Sox have been drafting pretty well since 2012 (When the CBA came into affect) and they have been consistently bringing in solid players from LA since they hired Marco Paddy. They may be ranked in the lower third of the ranking still, but they have made major strides but you have to remember that its going to take a few years for these guys to rise through the system. So in a year or two they might be ranked in the top ten or fifteen. The Sox could flip some of their major league assets for prospects during the offseason and that could potentially bring in some major prospects into the fold.
