Engel is someone who’s good to have in short stints or coming off the bench, I don’t want him taking anywhere near 600 PA in a regular season. Give Vaughn, some time to get his feet wet and he’ll be fine. Eloy didn’t really set the world on fire, his first month/month and half of his rookie year.

What does Garcia bring to the team? Outside of weak grounders, so don’t see why he’s on the team or why LaRussa is playing him so much early. The Sox need to upgrade their first guy off the bench if they want to win a lot of ball games. I also don’t get batting Eaton second, it’s ugly. I know it’s the fourth game of the year but I rather see Moncada there and Grandal third with Abreu batting cleanup
