Frazier wants to stay, doesn't want Sox to trade Sale
They finished 16.5 games out of first in their division, what the f*** is this dude talking about?

Blue Jays Interested in Fowler/Eaton
Dont see any way the jays get that deal done with prospects alone. You'd need to probably start around Travis.

Braves among teams showing interest in chris sale
Spitballing here, but I wonder if a 3 team with a team that needs pitching prospects (ala the Cubs) and Sale going to Atlanta would work for the Sox to get position players.

Braves among teams showing interest in chris sale
QUOTE (Y2JImmy0 @ Nov 17, 2016 -> 06:30 PM) Take all of this with a giant grain of salt: I have a buddy from Atlanta that is plugged in locally that I talk NFL Draft with. He's a Braves fan. He claims to have a friend that is a scout for Atlanta. He told me that Atlanta can't get Sale because they aren't willing to trade Maitan or Dansby. He said it's Quintana that they are going after. He mentioned Sean Newcomb, Travis Demeritte, and Mallex Smith. That's not enough for Q but like I said this is what he told me. If they took that package for Q, I might actually consider quitting my Sox fandom.

Reddick signs with Astros
It must be awesome to have a competent front office

Braves among teams showing interest in chris sale
Got to enjoy Braves fans, who just got Swanson, Inciarte, and Blair for Shelby Miller, thinking that Swanson alone is an overpay for Sale lolololol

Guess the Sale trade
Said on the White Sox, because that would be the White Sox thing to do.

Friday is Rule 5 Decision Day
I would also like to see Liriano stick around, especially in a rebuild. If it clicks for him, that is an exciting break for the Sox.

Jason Castro signs with Twins at 3 years 24.5 million
Does this kid actually have legit sources that speak to him directly or does he just cherry pick from around Twitter? Isn't he like a sophomore in college?

Rumor: Dodgers & Sox discussing Sale & Frazier
QUOTE (Harry Chappas @ Nov 16, 2016 -> 09:56 AM) I don't either but that is the haul it should take. Washington has better options than Boston in that regard and as such it will hurt them more. Washington could also use a Robertson, Jones, Abreu and even a Cabrera. Max and Stras aren't getting any younger. Harper is gone soon too...

Rumor: Dodgers & Sox discussing Sale & Frazier
I think you could get a deal done for Sale that could look like Giolito, Robles, Ross, and some fliers for Sale

Rumor: Dodgers & Sox discussing Sale & Frazier
QUOTE (TheFutureIsNear @ Nov 16, 2016 -> 09:02 AM) Surprised so many people are down on Houston as a trade partner. Maybe they lack the huge name at the top (unless Bregman is involved), but I think they have a lot of young talented pieces to give us that are close to or already MLB ready. Something along the lines of... Kyle Tucker, AJ Reed, Joe Musgrove, David Paulino, and Teoscar Hernandez doesn't interest anybody?? I know Reed and Hernandez didn't exactly light it up in their 1st taste of action, but neither do a lot of guys. I'd be perfectly happy with this deal. Not for Sale, no. Would need to be Bregman, Martes, Tucker, and someone. Unless someone like McCullers would be included in the trade.

White Sox focused on Rebuild
I know it's early and the market hasn't fully developed yet, but this rhetoric that none of these teams want to separate from their top prospects give me serious anxiety. The Sox don't need to take 50 cents on the dollar for these guys, but they better have a contingency plan in place if they dont get what they are looking for. Doing nothing again would be a colossal disaster for this franchise. I really, really hope they have a date in mind that they need to choose a direction.

Rumor: Dodgers & Sox discussing Sale & Frazier
QUOTE (NCsoxfan @ Nov 15, 2016 -> 03:37 PM) Feels like less talk about Houston as a potential partner than I would think. They'd seem to be a type of team looking to make a big splash and get to the next level - especially with an affordable contract like Sale (maybe worth more to Houston than a Dodgers type with inifinite $) Especially considering they've already discussed going after Cespedes in FA. The only area of real weakness they would seem to have is a lockdown starter at the front end.

Braves among teams showing interest in chris sale
I could see it getting done for a package revolving around Albies, Maitan, and a couple high ceiling arms

Destinations for Adam Eaton
QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Nov 15, 2016 -> 07:18 AM) Adam Eaton is a 6WAR player with 5 years of control for $38 million. Over the last season and a half, he has been one of the top 10 position players in baseball. Why would the Sox trade him? If you are trading him why not Rodon? Why not Anderson? This. Eaton is part of the core, no reason to move him right now. You definitely won't get anything approaching a fair market value for him, so don't even pretend he's going anywhere. You still need veterans on this team anyways. Starting with Eaton, Rodon, and Anderson isn't a bad core to build around.

White Sox focused on Rebuild
QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 10:37 AM) Buster Olney @Buster_ESPN 3m3 minutes ago White Sox currently focused on a rebuild, but it's unclear whether they'll find offers acceptable to them for Chris Sale, Jose Abreu, etc. It really scares me that they might wait it out and not get what they are expecting and all the interesting FAs are gone

White Sox focused on Rebuild
QUOTE (raBBit @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 11:28 AM) Dodgers have plenty of prospects on both sides of the ball. If we could get Cody Bellinger I'd be ecstatic. That kid is going to be an All Star. His stats are very good but not great, but he has always been one of the youngest players in his respective league. I would be ecstatic if we got him without moving Sale. He'd basically have to be involved in a Sale trade though. Like both Urias and De Leon, but Bellinger is the big piece there for me. 30 HR potential with a plus glove at first. Still a lot of swing and miss to his game, but he takes his walks. Left handed power bat too.

Will Brett Lawrie be Non-Tendered?
Just doesnt make sense if a rebuild is on, especially if they are planning on shopping Frazier

White Sox listening on Frazier
QUOTE (ChiliIrishHammock24 @ Nov 14, 2016 -> 01:50 AM) BP Boston offered up this trade of Frazier in a recent post.... Todd Frazier and Nate Jones to the Red Sox for... C Blake Swihart SS Mauricio Dubon SP Henry Owens RP Williams Jerez Not a terribly exciting return, but I think it's probably a fair one. Swihart we all pretty much know, Henry Owens used to be a top prospect, Dubon is 22 and hit .339 this season in 62 games in AA (stole 30 bases combined between A+ and AA), and Jerez is just kind of a throw-in reliever. WOOF

White Sox listening on Frazier
QUOTE (WBWSF @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 01:42 PM) If the team moves Frazier who plays third base? Matt Davidson? You trade a player who just hit 40 home runs for a prospect? I think the belief would be that you get a guy like Devers in a trade to replace Frazier in a year or two

White Sox listening on Frazier

White Sox listening on Frazier
QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 10, 2016 -> 01:18 PM) I still think an extension is most likely. In the long term, I don't think that's the worst idea. He just turned 30, is well-liked in the clubhouse and can be a veteran presence for the younger kids in rebuild, still provides pop in the middle of the order, and still plays a premium position well. Im fine getting rid of guys like Melky and Robertson, but Frazier isn't one I'm eager to ditch unless a good offer comes along.
